New Delhi, Aug. 31, 2018: To mark the birth of Lord Krishna, Janamashtami festival was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in the Pre-Primary Department. The bright and joyful faces of children lit the festive aura with spirit of love, devotion and faith. The students of classes Nursery C and KG C conducted a special assembly which elaborated on how and why we celebrate Janmashtami.

Devotional midnight singing (which takes place when Krishna is believed to have been born) was dramatized through a melodious devotional song ‘Achyutam keshavam Krishna Damodaram’ by the students of Class KG C. Students were perfectly dressed up and enthralled the audience with their wonderful performance.

This was followed by Class Nursery C students enacting various acts based on Krishna’s life i.e. Vasudev dropping Krishna to Gokul after his birth, Krishna stealing butter, Krishna eating mud, lifting of the Govardhan Parvat on his finger to save villages and meeting his dearest friend Sudama after a long period.

New Delhi, Aug. 31, 2018: Students of KG classes celebrated a special week on the theme ‘Water’ from 27th August to 31st August 2018. To begin with, the children observed demonstration of various experiments related to the properties of water. The practical hands-on experience was enriching and initiated curiosity amongst students.

On the second day, a PowerPoint presentation on ‘Story of Water Cycle’ was shown to the kids. It helped the young minds to understand the process of rain formation and recognise water bodies in nature.

On the third day, a special assembly on ‘Save Water Save Life’ was organised by the students of Class Nursery A. They enacted on an action song ‘Paani Zindgani’ and presented a dance act on ‘Jal hi Jeewan hai’ which delivered the message of preciousness and importance of water to the audience.

The children were also engaged in sports activity ‘Jack and Jill race’. Children were encouraged to do the act of balancing as they learnt to fill their tumblers and transfer it without wasting. They were overjoyed with the freedom given to them to perform the task independently and sincerely without spilling water.

The special week on ‘Save Water’ concluded with a role play by Class KG teachers on ‘Save Water for Life’. The act showcased various hazards one can face due to scarcity of water and ways to conserve water at any cost. The live performance given by the teachers made the ambience lively and left the students mesmerised. They wholeheartedly pledged to contribute in their ways for the betterment of the planet that we call home.

‘Save Water Save Life’ Special Week was the perfect opportunity for students to learn where the water comes from and why it is so important to use water wisely.

New Delhi, Aug. 29, 2018: The School organised a session by Mr Aditya Arora, alumnus of Apeejay School, Pitampura (2015 batch), on the following pointers:

  • How to look for ideas?
  • Journey of a young entrepreneur
  • How to step into the shoes of an Entrepreneur?

He briefed the students to think for a new idea and follow one’s own dreams with dedication. He said the times are changing, earlier children used to dream of becoming a Doctor, Engineer, Chartered Accountant, and an IAS or pursued what their parents aspired. But now children have many options and are much more aware. They aspire to do something of their own. A youngster of today wishes to become an entrepreneur.

Inspiring Session for Future Entrepreneurs

Aditya is currently the CEO of FAAD Times and has assisted more than 100 entrepreneurs and start-ups. He has been nominated by Niti Aayog as ‘Mentor of Change’ for Apeejay School, Pitampura. He was awarded the ‘Microsoft Top 15 Change Makers of the Country’. He initiated the Campaign by the name ‘Education Yatra’ to provide Elementary Education to kids from villages across Delhi. There are more achievements to his credit.

Aditya inspired the students to be ‘Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow’. He also discussed the risk factors involved in creating a start-up. He motivated the students to always do their best and work upon their ideas and rwork hard to achieve their goal(s).

New Delhi, Aug. 24, 2018: Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing festivals to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. To strengthen this bond further, the students of the Pre-Primary Department assembled in the courtyard for a special assembly conducted by classes Nursery B & KG B.

Asmi Dhingra and Grissha Vij of Class KG B enlightened everyone about ‘Why and how do we celebrate Raksha Bandhan?’

The students of Class KG B dramatised Raksha Bandhan story ‘Lord Krishna and Draupadi’ with actions and facial expressions. The audience comprehended the story well and applauded for the great efforts put in by both the classes.

Students from classes Nursery B and KG B presented a celebration dance on the song ‘All the girls go shopping’ depicting sisters happily indulging in rakhi shopping for their beloved brother(s).

It was followed by a presentation on an action song ‘Aaya Rakhi Ka Tyohaar’, through which the children depicted the Raksha Bandhan ceremony. Sisters tie rakhi on the wrist of their brother & pray for his long life and in return the brother gives sweets & gifts to their dear sisters.

Children from Class KG B dressed up in traditional dresses and presented the dance ‘O Behna’ with festive fervour.

Inspiring students of Class Nursery B danced to the tune of song ‘Phoolon Ka Taron Ka…..’ and won hearts with their synchronized actions and dedication.

All the mesmerized performances left the audience spell-bound and filled with respect and gratitude for the purest bond of love, i.e. Raksha Bandhan.
