‘Save Water Save Life’ – Special Assembly
New Delhi, August 30, 2019: With the increased problem of pollution in our country, it is essential to inculcate values to protect our planet Earth by conserving resources. Keeping this idea in mind and linking it to the curriculum, Class Nursery C hosted a special assembly wherein they explained to their peers, the importance of water and the need to conserve it. The Assembly began with the introduction given by Venya Aggarwal. A rhyme about importance and saving water was dramatized by the tiny tots with great zeal. The significance of water was well explained through a song and a talk by our teacher. The students enacted an action song ‘Paani Zindgani’ which delivered the message of preciousness and importance of water to the audience.
Water is known as the elixir of life. As Apeejayites, we have imbibed water conservation values and are spreading awareness among people about less usage and saving of clean water so as to maintain the continuity of life on Earth. Students enacted a foot tapping dance ‘Life is Water, Water is Life’ to motivate the audience to join the mission of ‘saving water’. Overall, it was an enriching, awe-inspiring show which was highly appreciated by one and all.
The message of the assembly was loud and clear, given by Grisha Agarwal, that either we conserve water or learn to live without it. The assembly concluded with posing questions to the young audience on what they had just learnt in the assembly. In-Charge, Ms Sonali Chopra, appreciated the efforts of the students and asked the children to make an effort to consciously ensure they do not waste water and thereby, help in saving our Planet Earth.
Orientation Programme for Parents
New Delhi, September 28, 2019: It is rightly said that ‘Behind every young child who believes in himself is the parent who believed first’. Studies show that when families are involved in the education of their children in positive ways, the children maximise on their untapped potentials and are more regular to school and demonstrate positive attitude and behavior.
Keeping this in mind, Apeejay School, Pitampura, organised the second phase of Orientation Programme for the parents of Nursery classes.
The programme commenced with lighting the ceremonial lamp by eminent Guest Speaker, Dr Vasudha Agarwal, renowned Psychologist and Life Skills Trainer, accompanied by School Principal, Mrs Veena Goel, Vice-Principal, Dr Sujit Eric Masih and the In-Charges. This was followed by sapling presentation to Dr Vasudha Agarwal. School Principal, Mrs Veena Goel, welcomed the parents and the guests with her kind words.
The second phase of the Orientation Programme had a special attraction. The students of the Pre-Primary Wing prepared few dances based on Thematic Learning for their parents which were much appreciated by one and all. It was followed by an interactive session by Dr Vasudha Agarwal wherein she discussed various aspects of parenting. She gave important tips on how to nurture a child with love and care to build a strong foundation for a glorious future.
Parents cleared their doubts regarding the upbringing of their children and were given apt solutions by the eminent speaker. They were also given an insight upon the learning system which is based on the belief that “locked within every child is the inherent potential for greatness”.
Parents were in high spirits after attending the Programme and understood their joint responsibility in bringing up their children. At the end of the session, Pre-Primary In-Charge, Mrs Sonali Chopra, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
