Trip to Chakrata
Chakrata, Nov. 1, 2018: An excursion was organised for students of Class VIII, from 28th October to 1st November 2018, to Chakrata. It was a trek camp which included many activities such as rappling, rock climbing and trekking. Students visited Tiger Falls which was a mesmerising experience. Bonfire and many indoor activities were organised at the resort. On the whole, it was an enriching experience for both teachers and students.
Trip to Chandigarh
Chandigarh, Oct. 30, 2018:A group of 40 students along with three teachers – Ms Babita Kathuria, Ms Kavita Vyas and Ms Astha Vashist visited Chandigarh from 28th to 30th October 2018. They visited Chhatbir Zoo and had a vast experience of understanding the habitat of animals. At the Bhakra Nangal Dam, significance of hydroelectricity plant was understood. At Cactus Garden, the students observed rare and endangered species of the Indian Succulent plants and the Verka Milk Plant provided practical exposure to the operations of the milk industry. They also observed migratory birds in the protected National Wetland Sukhna Lake. Rock Garden that has sculptures made from recycled ceramic gave an insight of best out of waste. In all it was an enriching experience.
