New Delhi, February 5, 2014: 36 members of the Interact Club along with 2 teachers visited Goonj Centre at Sarita Vihar, Delhi. Though small but significant in aiding and uplifting the destitutes, the students saw the conviction, dedication & the hard work of the volunteers and employees of the organisation. Apart from clothes, Goonj’s collections include things like shoes, toys, books, electronic gadgets, and other products from urban waste.

The visit was an enthralling and transformative experience for the students. Students were inspired by seeing the dedication of the volunteers at Goonj and their conviction towards lifting the poor people by providing them clothes, as a tool and not just a commodity, and helping them in a dignified way.
