Members of Interact Club worked hard to collect woolen clothes and toys for the under-privileged and marginalized children of ‘Goonj’. In a world where issues right from domestic violence to global warming are discussed with unequivocal fervor, there is scant attention to the basic need of clothing. Over the last two years Apeejayites have considered it a mass movement of mobilizing cloth and repositioning it as an important resource for the needy Indians rather than wastage- fit only for charity. The students are working hard to make clothing a matter of concern as a basic need. As a result of their efforts the students could successfully accumulate heaps of woolen good quality clothes to relieve many of the nip and chill of Delhi winters.
