New Delhi, Sep. 26, 2015: The Interact Club of the School, in association with the Rotary Blood Bank, Delhi, organised a Blood Donation Camp in the School premises.
The camp was organised to meet the rising need of blood for thalassemia patients who require blood transfusions regularly. Inside the camp, a careful and prudent health check up of candidates was carried out which included a blood pressure and haemoglobin test, performed by adept doctors from the Rotary Club. After the blood unit was collected, a special card was also issued to every donor.
Apeejay School, Pitampura remains an active participant in arranging such community service initiatives from time to time. Parents appreciated the organising skills of the members of the Interact Club of the School. Such events help the Interactors to feel the ‘Joy of Giving’ - the selfless act of giving. The School aspires to carry out similar projects with the same zeal and enthusiasm in the coming years.
