New Delhi, September 23, 2013: The Eco Club of the school has been a cauldron of environment related activities, aimed at sensitising the students to the immediate need of protecting and preserving our precious environment. It has been undertaking various activities to sensitise communities within and outside the school, to protect and preserve our environment. True to its motto, the club had organised a workshop on E-Waste Management, in association with NGO Toxics Link, in the school premises.
The objective was to enhance the awareness amongst students and teachers on issues related to improper disposal of e-waste and the measures that can be adopted for collection and proper disposal of such waste, keeping in mind that this awareness will further be passed on to other students and their parents.
A quiz was also held to test the knowledge imbibed by the students during the workshop which was followed by distribution of certificates and badges to meritorious students. The workshop was indeed an eye-opener and was successful in creating awareness about the havoc created by e-waste. Mrs. Malini Sridhar, Eco Club Incharge of the school, concluded the workshop by proposing the vote of thanks.
