To promote environmental awareness and to support our country in the making of responsible citizens, Apeejay School Pitampura had organized a workshop for the students of Eco-Club on Friday 9th of July where, speakers namely Rohit Prakash Founder and Vasudha Mehta Informational Activist and consultant of i-dream, an environmental initiative had come to sensitize the students. They, in their presentation elaborated the importance of waste management and emphasized on the initiatives taken by them in collaboration with Nokia to recycle the redundant electronic wastes in the most efficient manner. They had set up a collection bin in the school premises for the same. The workshop had deeply influenced the students in understanding the how of mobile phones or any other e-waste can play a havoc in the environmental system and a simple initiative taken by common man can help managing the wastes as well as enable safe disposal of it.
