“Communication works for those who work at it.” – John Powell

House activities are done so that the students gain confidence and build up the communication skills which is the need of the hour. These opportunities are provided by the school from time to time. Keeping this in view, a ‘Weave a Yarn’ story competition was organised. A team of three students from each house participated in this competition. The time limit for narrating the story was 3 minutes. The participants were judged on the basis of relevance, content, fluency, diction, and impressive narration of the story. Each team was given an opening line or theme for the story on-the-spot around which they have to build up their story. It was an interesting and enjoyable event where children put on their thinking cap and enjoyed a lot.

Education is not learning from the books and within the four walls of the classroom. It is rather learning beyond books. Every activity we plan for our students is to make them learn something more for building a life. We all are marching and extra mile during this time with a smile. A Solo Music (Bhule Bisre Geet) Inter-House Competition was organised for classes VIII and IX. This event was a great opportunity for the students to share their expressions through music. We have been fortunate enough to be backed by a team of very proactive and dedicated staff who are well-versed in their job and performed their responsibilities.

This competition was conducted on Zoom with 32 participants who showcased their talent. IT was fun, every individual putting their best foot forward to make a huge success. The presence of the Principal raised the spirits of the students and filled them with enthusiasm to put their best efforts. The show was highly appreciated by the parents as well as the students.

Our school has organised an Inter-House activity for classes VI and VII in which students participated in a Patriotic Song Competition. Each house prepared a hindi patriotic song under the guidance of their house teachers. The students sang the song with lot of passion, confidence and patriotic feeling. Each house showed their mastery over voice modulation, pitch and tone. The children showcased a sense of pride, self-esteem and self-confidence for their country. The programme was judged by Mrs Deepti Sharma, Mrs Bhawna Mago, Mrs Shama Mahajan and Ms Akshita Bhatia. They were impressed with the confidence, the tonal quality, and the costumes according to the theme.
