New Delhi, April 20, 2018: Interact Club Seminar was held at Imperial Hotel, Connaught Place, which was chaired by the District Governor, Mr. Ravi Chaudhary, President, Rotary Middle Town, Mr. Umesh Gupta and Chair, Rotaract / Interact, Dr. Neha Berlia, along with other eminent Rotarians. The event was also attended by Mrs. Prerna Bhushan and Apeejay School, Pitampura Interact Club President, Ms. Sonal Verma.

New Delhi, April 20, 2018: 8 schools, including Apeejay School, Pitampura, along with many luminaries came together for an annual meet at the Imperial Hotel, Janpath, having a common motto – ‘Service above self’. This annual meet was organised by the Rotary Midtown in order to analyse the activities conducted by all the schools in the session 2017-2018.  District Governor, Mr. Ravi Choudhary, Rtn Dr. Neha Berlia and President of Rotary Club Delhi Midtown, Rtn Umesh Gupta presided over the event to make it a grand success.

It was a very interesting and interactive seminar as it helped the students to showcase the activities they had conducted throughout the year. The guests applauded the students for their hard work and efforts.

New Delhi, Feb. 2, 2017: Students of classes VIII & IX of the Astronomy Club of the School, along with Mrs. Sarita Sharma visited the Nehru Planetarium. The speakers of the session took out a few hours to interact and share a part of their immense knowledge of Planetary Sciences. The speakers included Mr. David Dubois, Ph.D student in Planetary Science Search Institute, France & is now working with NASA and Ms. Garima Singh, alumna of California Institute of Technology and is currently working at Subaru Telescope, Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Hawaii with the collaboration of NASA.

Mr. David discussed about his research on icy moons of our Solar System, mainly Europa, Titon & Triton – the moons of Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune respectively. Students also came to know about physical, chemical and geological features of these icy moons. Further in the session, Ms. Garima enlightened us about many exo-planets and methods of finding them in the vast extra-solar universe that we don’t know about.

It was an enriching experience for the students, who want to explore the cosmic world.

New Delhi, Jan. 23, 2017: Apeejay School, Pitampura held a ‘Space Session: Module 1’ by instructor, Mr. Aryan on the topic ‘Safe Solar Observation’. About 49 students attended the session. Through a PowerPoint presentation, the structure of the Sun & activities inside the Sun were explained. Students were sensitised about the different methods to observe Sun – projection of Sun on a screen with the help of a telescope, through pin hole camera, etc. and the precautions to be taken while observing the Sun through these devices. Students were also trained to make their own solar filter & set their telescope to observe the Sun with these filters. Students enjoyed a lot in the session.
