Talking Common Medical Emergencies in Schools

A session on ‘Emerging Paradigm of School Safety’ was organised wherein the session taught that educating students on health should be given the highest priority, not only for their health but also from the perspective of education. A health emergency may occur in any School at any time. Thus, schools have a major responsibility of being prepared for any such emergencies and for this - the schools must follow the School Emergency Response Protocols (SERP).

Prevention Risk Reduction Management

The most interesting learning from the session was that even though life is full of disasters which may come to us at any point of time, we should live life cheerfully as assuming life to be Mathematics.

Schools must offer safe, caring and supportive learning environment. The Workshop was attended by Ms. Sayeeda, TGT (Biology) along with seven students of Class XI.


A Workshop on ‘First Aid and CPR’ was organised at the Science Centre, Pragati Maidan. The initiative was taken by ‘Expressions India’ which has already organised four workshops on the issues related to Peer Education and Leadership Programme. Mr. Sajjan Kumar, Fire Brigade Officer, demonstrated the evacuation strategies and techniques during emergencies like Fire, Earthquake, Accidents, etc.


Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar hosted its 9th Annual Leadership Summit 'Lead On' 2016. The event was attended by the School Head Girl, Poorva Chaudhary and Head Boy, Angad S. Rana. The event included personalities who were the keynote speakers – Ms. Madhu Kuhmar, renowned journalist & documentary film maker, and Mr. Kapil Sibbal, politician and practicing lawyer. The theme for this year's session ‘Excellence, Engagement, Ethics’ gave the participants opportunities to prepare for future challenges.
