~ A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe. ~

An Orientation Programme was organised for the parents at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, for classes Nursery to I from 9.00 am to 10.00 am and for classes II to IX from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon. The aim was to familiarize the parents as ‘partners in progress’ with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the School, safety measures, teaching methodologies, co-scholastic activities, evaluation system, clubs and outbound activities.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the parents followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp with a welcome song. The School Principal, Ms Ritu Mehta, addressed the gathering. In her speech, she introduced the Apeejay Education Society and laid stress on effective communication between the teachers & parents and sought their support & suggestions so that the children could be provided the best for their overall development. She gave guidelines about effective parenting. She suggested different measures to nurture a child with love and care to build a strong foundation for a glorious future. She has also shared the CBSE result of the School and laurels won by children in different fields with the parents.

There were different spokespersons for various Wings (Pre-Primary, Primary, Middle and Secondary) who spoke about new innovative activities and shared glimpses of the respective Wings.

Delhi, May 31, 2018: The Annual Summer Scholar Camp held at Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai, culminated with a plethora of presentations, starting with a sports display for the parents including skating, swimming, cricket, basketball, volleyball and football.

The co-curricular activities, other than games, were also showcased in the School auditorium. The presentations were made for speech and drama by the ‘Hindu’ wherein the students presented a short play which had been written and prepared by them along with the props made from reusable material.

Helen ‘O’ Grady presented the performance of junior, middle and senior school students separately wherein the need for communication, voice modulation and spoken expression was emphasised.

Students learning vocal music gave a presentation which was thoroughly enjoyed by the parents. Students learning coding from Codeshala also generated keen interest of the parents while they were making their presentations.

Students were awarded certificates for their performances in various activities. Parents were indeed looking forward to having such activities throughout the year for holistic development of their children.

New Delhi, May 25, 2018: A fun-filled scholar camp was held at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park for the students who attended and enjoyed the same with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Football, Basketball, Swimming, Volley Ball, Skating, Cricket and Short Tennis Coaching was a great treat for the sports enthusiasts as they were coached by professionals of repute. The students who opted for reading, writing, listening & speaking classes by the Hindu, Coding and Helen O Grady classes thoroughly enjoyed learning new things. Throughout the day, the students actively indulged in various activities and wished the day didn’t end.

Summer Camps offer a welcoming, lively, safe and diverse environment wherein children gain confidence and build self-esteem.
