New Delhi, August 13, 2014: Class IV D organised a special assembly themed 'Independence Day' wherein the students showcased their items with dedication and enthusiasm. The items included thought of the day, word of the day, a skit and a dance. The skit depicted the role of some leaders and freedom fighters as it showed India from the period of 1600 AD to 1947. The highlight of the assembly was the dance performance wherein students performed on patriotic songs.

New Delhi, August 8, 2014: A special assembly was held by the students of Class IV C on ‘Rakshabandhan’ which started with a colourful dance performance which enthralled the audience. The dance was followed by a short skit which depicted the bond of love between a brother and a sister. The students also gave a presentation on how the festival is ideally celebrated. The assembly concluded with a portrayal of a well-known event of the Indian history in which Rani Karnavati of Udaipur sent a rakhi to the Mughal Emperor, Humayun who had offered to help her at the time of need. The assembly was enjoyed by everyone.

RAKSHA-BANDHANRAKSHA-BANDHAN

New Delhi, August 1, 2014: The students of Class IV B presented a special assembly on the festival of Eid wherein all the students of the class participated in the colourful programme. They presented a play on how and why Eid is celebrated. The students also sang a song and presented a beautiful dance. Their efforts were appreciated by one and all.

New Delhi, May 12 2014: The primary school children paid tribute to beloved Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul, wife of Founder Chairman of Apeejay Education Society, Dr. Stya Paul on her second death anniversary. A special assembly, themed ‘Truthfulness’ was held by classes V C and V D. The programme started with Ganesh Vandana and a beautiful song by the Hindi choir. Students also presented a story depicting the importance of truth in our life. The students also recited a poem to convey the message that ‘Truth never damages a cause that is just’. The School Principal, teachers and students also paid a floral tribute with recitation of bhajans.

New Delhi, May 8, 2014: The Primary Department of the School celebrated its Investiture Ceremony in May 2014. The function started with the lighting of the ceremonial diya and a dance invoking Lord Ganesh. The former Head boy and Head girl, captains and vice captains, handed over the diyas to the newly elected members which signified the passing on of the flame of leadership.

The badges of honour and prestige were bestowed upon the members of the Junior Prefectorial Board by the school principal, Mr. A.P. Sharma. The chief guest, the ex-Head Girl of the School, Ms. Astha Aggarwal also congratulated the elected members, highlighting their duties and responsibilities that come along with the status. The new student council members were administered the oath of office by the primary in-charge, Ms. Vandana Kumar. Students, Rishabh Gulati and Shivangi Roy, took over as the Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. The Prefectorial Board promised to keep the school flag soaring high. The function came to an end with the school song resounding in the auditorium followed by the national anthem.
