New Delhi, November 1, 2013: A special assembly, themed ‘Diwali’, was organised by the students of Class II D which commenced with the Ganesh Vandana followed by a melodious group song by the students. Contemporary performance, showing the children how we celebrate Diwali, was also a part of the assembly. The play, enacted by the students, gave a message of celebrating the festival through joy of giving. The dance performance on the foot tapping number ‘Happy Diwali’ stole the show. The programme was a grand success.

New Delhi, October 25, 2013: Special assembly was conducted by Class II C on the topic, 'Joy of Giving'. The programme started with a melodious group song ‘If you just light one candle and...’ followed by a small act based on the assembly theme.

The assembly concluded with a lovely dance performance which enthralled the audience. Later, the primary incharge enlightened the children on the sheer ‘joy of giving’. The assembly was enjoyed by all the children.

hindi-diwasNew Delhi, October 2013: The primary department of the school organised a special assembly to celebrate the Hindi Diwas. The occasion was graced by Mrs. Neelam Arora, Former Head of the Hindi Department, who served the school for 30 years. She has been the recipient of the prestigious award, 'Shikshak Samman', by the Hindi Academy. The lighting of the ceremonial diya was followed by the Ganesh Vandana.

The children presented songs, dance, skits and Hasya Kavitain. They also dressed up as eminent poets from the world of Hindi Literature as they recited their famous poems. The students were made aware about the usage of correct words in Hindi language. The display boards of the Primary department also echoed the same theme. Mrs. Vandana Kumar, Primary Wing Incharge, highlighted the importance of Hindi language as our national language and urged students to enhance their vocabulary & language.

NIE-WorkshopNewspaper in Education or NIE is an integral part of the learning process these days. Interesting and useful workshops are conducted for the children. A workshop based on ' Table Manners' was organised for classes III, IV and V in the month of July 2013. The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. It enhanced their understanding about the basic table etiquettes.

 

 

Educational-TripThe School organised a three-day educational trip to Amritsar and Wagha Border for the students of classes IV and V. The students visited the holy Golden Temple and Durgiana Temple. They also visited the historical ‘Jallian Wala Bagh’ and ‘Ram Bagh’. They were very excited to see the parade at the Wagha Border which filled them with patriotic feelings. It was a great learning experience for them.
