The Investiture Ceremony of the Students’ Council for the Senior and Primary Wings for the Session 2020-21 was held on August 22, 2020. Investiture Ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the School consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Mr Anoop Kohli, Director, Yes Bank, Senior Vice-President, Head - North India Region, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. He spoke to the newly elected council team and told them to become a role model for others and perform duties selflessly. He also mentioned in his conversation that the greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does great things but they are the ones who get people to do great things.

Chief Guest, Principal, Vice-Principal, and Primary In-charge invested the new appointees with their position of authority. As the Investiture Ceremony was conducted virtually, every member was introduced on the screen with their photographs, designation, achievement, and aim for the post. Donning the mantle of accountability, council members took the pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. Outgoing Head Boy (Senior) - Shivam Dwivedi, Outgoing Head Girl (Senior) - Ms Mansi Jain, Outgoing Head Boy (Primary) - Devansh Chopra, and Outgoing Head Girl (Primary) - Joshita Nayak, spoke about their experiences and learning. They mentioned that being a council member, it was very important to balance between the role of a leader and a friend which they had balanced well.

Newly elected Head Boy (Senior) - Ansh Ahuja, Head Girl (Senior) - Dolly Malhotra, President Student Council (Primary) - Ahana Shahi, Head Boy (Primary) - Parth Agarwal and Head Girl (Primary) - Mehreet Kaur took charge of the office with promises as they declared their future plans. Virtual learning and collaboration was the center of everyone's message. They spoke about their plans of helping their fellow mates and the school in its swift operation in this new online learning and upholding the values of school & fulfill all expectations with sincerity.

‘LOVE YOU ZINDAGI' - Rendezvous with Mr Maniesh Paul

Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, took the initiative to organise a webinar 'LOVE YOU ZINDAGI' - Rendezvous with Mr Maniesh Paul, alumnus (Batch 1999) and Sultan of the stage, to motivate everyone to lead a happy and contented life.

The webinar saw enthusiastic participation from 2000 plus attendees who were gratified by the motivation they received and came away with much food for thought.

This webinar aimed to motivate everyone during the pandemic situation and show them the shining light in thought-provoking darkness.

Dr V.S. Garg, Senior Education Advisor, Mrs Ritu Mehta, Principal, Mrs Neeta Hansuka, Vice-Principal, Mr Shweta Oberoi, Primary In-charge, Ansh Ahuja and Simone Bhalla (Moderator and students of Class XII) joined the webinar with Mr Maniesh Paul.

Dr V.S. Garg expressed his happiness to see our students growing in their career and earning name and fame. Mrs Ritu Mehta, Principal of the School, welcomed the entertainer and praised him for his work.

Mr Maniesh Paul spoke about his journey from a student to a radio jockey, to the Bollywood and the stage performer. He shared his ups and downs, rejections, struggle in life, and his continuous efforts to succeed. He apprised everyone that there is nothing called stress. Our happy frame of mind will help us to lead a joyful life. Challenges and struggles of life are to be taken up with a smile. He also enlightened the participants with very serious topics like nepotism in the industry, failures, and rejections.

While the present is not easy for anyone, it can be especially harsh for young minds who are brimming with energy, enthusiasm, and ideas. It is vital to ensure that this vigour is channelled appropriately and that learning and inculcation of values are encouraged among students.

The actor showcased his talent with song presentation and mimicry of famous Bollywood stars. He answered the questions put up by the participants and thanked everyone for showing love for him.

New Delhi, May 30, 2020: The unprecedented global crisis caused by the lockdown left us to charter unknown territories and uncertainties and we, at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, want to turn challenges into opportunities. To unlock the box of questions in everyone's mind, the School organised a webinar with Dr Shilpi Minocha, an alumna of the School, currently working as Asstt. Professor, IIT, Delhi {Ph.D. Neurobiology (Switzerland)} and Dr Vaibhav Kapuria, Founder - Aspirence. It was an informative session with 620 attendees. School Principal, Ms Ritu Mehta, welcomed the speakers and the attendees. Both the speakers enlightened everyone with the mantra to live life after COVID-19. The speakers spoke about the virus and its effects, the latest developments related to vaccine and the world health data, precautions related to eating, hygiene, usage of masks, use of sanitizers, and safety measures to be taken by parents & school. Parents were having so many queries related to the afterlife of COVID-19. Queries were answered by the speakers and the Principal of the School, Ms Ritu Mehta.

A stimulating inter-school online event IROM 2020, the first-ever edition of Indian Reform Organization Meet was initiated by the students of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, with the aim of making young learners brainstorm to put across their economic pacts and business startup ideas to boost India’s economy post-Covid-19, in anticipation that the pandemic will derail economies across the world.

A whopping 104 students from different schools across the country, wholeheartedly and enthusiastically participated in the event, showcasing their ideas with regard to India’s trade, economic, social and political relation with a country of their choice and how a partnership with inventive business ideas and economic pacts could benefit the Indian economy. The students presented immaculate PowerPoint presentations while outlining their business plans and the economic policies to be implemented between the two countries. A cross-questioning round by the judges made the presentations interactive.

The event was inaugurated by the School Principal, Ms. Ritu Mehta who encouraged students to learn and grow and become responsible citizens of their country.

The event Founder and President, Mr Rudransh Garg, also Head of the School’s Student Council and President of FORCE Club, along with other members, put together this humongous task which was a grand success.

The event was coordinated by the School Vice-Principal, Ms Neeta Hansuka, with technical support from the Computer Head of the Department, Ms Mukta Amba.

The jury comprised esteemed teachers of the school, Ms Madhuri Yadav, Ms Mukta Amba, Ms Jyotsana Madan, Ms Neeta Mathur, Mr Jitender Narula, and Vice-Principal, Ms Neeta Hansuka. The jury also comprised the Event Founder and President, Mr Rudransh Garg.

The event was conducted over 4 days (29 April 2020 to 2 May 2020) due to a massive amount of registrations although it was supposed to be conducted over 2 days and its Closing Ceremony was conducted on 9 May 2020.

The well-coordinated and seamless event received much applause and appreciation from one and all.

The teachers and students from Sant Nirankari Public School and Apeejay School, Saket were cordially invited to participate enthusiastically in a hands-on session on the latest technologies. The celebration started with the inauguration ceremony, followed by the interaction of students and teachers of other schools with the Principal and the Vice-Principal. The students of classes VII and X participated and supported in the event. Balloon Tower Challenge, 3D Printing Workshop, Circuit Making, LED Badge Soldering, Designing of Robots like 3 Wheel Bot and Hand Shaking Robot activities were conducted in the event, where students learnt about Arduino, Circuit Designing, 3D printing, Sensors, etc.
