Principal Mr. A.P.Sharma along with two students Sugandha Jindal and Vidya Varidh visited the Rashtrapati Bhawan on May 30, 2012 to participate in Project – ROSHNI. They also met Hon’ble President of India, Ms. Pratibha Patil. Same evening they attended a questionnaire round with Hon’ble President for the Doordarshan that was telecasted on Sunday, 3rd June 2012. The President lauded the questions that were being asked by Sugandha and Vidya.

A bhajan programme was organised in the school auditorium on 7th June 2012 in the loving memory of our beloved Chairman Sir late Dr. Stya Pual. Floral tributes were paid to beloved Chairman Sir by each and every member present. The bhajans were presented by Mr. Ashok Kumar and Mr. Naresh Nagpal along with the Music department of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park. Dr. V.S. Garg, spoke about the experiences he shared with late Chairman Sir while visiting various Apeejay Schools, highlighting his love and bond with children. Principal A.P.Sharma shared Chairman Sir’s vision with everyone. The programme came to an end with the favourite bhajan of late Chairman Sir ‘Vishwapati Ke Dhayan Mein…..’ sung by the President Apeejay Education Mrs. Sushma Berlia (CD was played).

Apeejay School Sheikh Sarai celebrated the gala annual event ‘Force Fest’ on 17th and 18th July 2012. The occasion was graced by honourable Chief Guest, Mr. Anil Sagar, Director with Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-India), Govt. of India, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Mr. Anil Sagar  impressed and motivated the students by giving technical knowledge about what ethical hacking means. He encouraged students to enhance their technical knowledge and asked them to be abreast of latest updates, asked them to join good fraternity groups of their interest, read inspiring poems, stories, blogs  etc. He emphasized on the immense potential of students in the field of Information  Technology. He encouraged the students to participate in the competitions to learn and share  new technology. The Principal of the school, Mr. A.P. Sharma, reiterated the fact that India should retain its top slot position in the field of IT and encouraged the students to work harder to achieve the pinnacle of success. The competition witnessed  enthusiastic participation of many schools of the NCR in  events like  Web Oasis (WebDesigning), Infomatrix(Quiz), SlideDot(Powerpoint Presentation), Robotix(Robotics), Cine Flux(Movie Making), Cyber Combat (Gaming), Dev. Aps(Software Display), Paint Wars(Ms-Paint) and  PenDown(Logo Programming) Out of 40 participating schools, Apeejay  School Pittampura was adjudged the overall  Winner while Delhi Public School, Noida received the Runners-up trophy.

Apeeejay School, Panchsheel Park organized an exhibition on 28th July .The theme was ’I am an Innovator’. The children show cased their holiday homework based on the theme. The children exhibited their talent through charts, models, art and craft etc. The school band and choir entertained the parents, The youngest member of the School (Ekachit Khullar) inaugurated the exhibition.

A mock drill on Fire Safety was held in Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park on 13th July 2012. The responsibility for organizing this drill was given to the Social Studies department and the Physical Education teachers. An alarm was sounded at 10:00 am and immediately the children started moving out of the classroom to the playground. They moved according to the evacuation guidelines given to them. An evacuation monitor was nominated for each class. The escape routes were kept clear of obstructions; as a result all the staff and the children could reach the ground within fifteen minutes. A place for every class was earmarked on the ground.
