The School celebrated its Annual Appreciation Day on 28th and 29th December 2012. Mr. M.C. Sharma, Controller of Examination – CBSE, was the Chief Guest and Ms. Renu Sharma, Dy. Director of Directorate of Education was the Guest of Honour on 28th December 2012. Mr. S.P. Rana, Dy. Secretary, Vigilance, CBSE was the Guest of Honour on 29th December 2012. The theme for the event was ‘Atambodh – Transform Thyself’. It depicted how ordinary man has evolved to bring about change in the society.

Visit-to-NASA-201233 students, along with the School Principal and Mr. Mahesh Kumar & Ms. Anasua Dasgupta, visited the USA for a NASA Training Camp at JSC (Kennedy Space Centre), Orlando, Florida from 17th to 19th October, 2012.

A series of workshops were conducted by Apeejay Stya University (ASU) in the School on 10th October, 2012. Prof. Dr. K.K. Dwivedi, Vice-Chancellor of ASU gave a motivational talk to the Class XII students and briefed them for various career options and how they can enrol in ASU.

A workshop on Designed and Innovation was organized at Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai by Apeejay Stya University, India’s first Liberal Arts and Meta University. The workshop was an initiation by Apeejay Stya in collaboration with MIT media lab taking the collaboration further, laying special emphasis on the fact that ideas do not exist till you build them and are demonstrated .The opening ceremony began with the ceremonial lighting of the diya by Apeejay Stya University chancellor Mrs. Sushma Berlia, Vice Chancellor Dr. KK Trivedi, Pro-chancellor Mr. Aditya Berlia and Members of Board, Mrs. Nisha Berlia and other distinguished guests. Andrea Colaco, President MIT Media Lab addressed the gathering. She emphasized that this global initiative was flagship invention to help students teach and learn through collaboration. Mrs. Sushma Berlia, President Apeejay Stya Group and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University recalled Late Dr. Stya Paul’s vision of education of every child’s potential being activated in all dimensions and his greatest desire to contribute to the design landscape of country. This initiative would fulfill his dreams. The valedictory function saw immense excitement as the three day workshop came to a close with so much learning accomplished through various experiments and inputs. The occasion was graced by Mr. Sam Pitroda advisor to Prime Minister on public information, knowledge, and innovation and other dignitaries. Mr. Sam Pitroda exhorted the need to democratize information and radicalize it the complimented students faculty for their relentless efforts in combining art with new solutions. Mrs. Nisha Berlia proposed the vote of thanks by expressing her gratitude toward all those who made the plenary session possible.
