Art is not defined by any boundaries. It travels beyond the horizon of one’s thought

New Delhi, Oct 2021: With the advent of winter and the festive mood resonating in the air, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, took a step forward in the virtual platform by organising an art exhibition - 'Resplendence: A Colourful Journey Through Canvas'.

The program commenced with the blessings of the almighty. This artistic extravaganza was graced by Chief Guest, Mrs. Megha Kapoor, Eminent Guest and Vice-President, Water Colour Society of India, along with stalwarts of Education, Dr. V. S. Garg, Education Advisor, Apeejay Education, other Education Officers, colleagues from sister schools, teachers and parents from all Apeejay branches.

Students and teachers displayed a great amount of enthusiasm to highlight the various forms of art. The exhibition was divided into two parts - Primary Wing Art Exhibition and Senior Wing Art Exhibition.

In the Primary Wing, the children created beautiful Ganesh Art, Abstract Art, African Art, Warli Art, Mandala, and other exclusive paintings with the integration of subjects.

In the Senior Wing, the children had created magnificent art masterpieces in Abstract Art, Diffusion Art, Madhubani, Landscape in varied acrylic, oil and poster colors, Graphic Patterns, Portraits in watercolors, Pencil Shading and Gond Art. Prize-winning paintings of the academic session 2021-22 are the main highlight of the display of senior wing section paintings.

Principal, Ms. Ritu Mehta shared that the Art Exhibition displayed the unconventional artistic work of art by our students, in its refined and elegant form. The children created these magnificent art pieces in their regular Art periods. Our teachers constantly guided them to design different forms of artwork with the integration of subjects so that our children would remain busy in this pandemic time. None of us will deny that this year also has been extremely challenging for all of us but at Apeejay, we have tried to keep our children busy in developing their creative abilities.

Mrs. Megha Kapoor encouraged young artists to pursue their careers in Fine Arts. She said that Art augments creativity, imagination and provides propitious opportunities to children to think and express themselves independently while developing social awareness. Colours bring happiness in one’s life thereby, dispelling the melancholic gloominess and no time is more pertinent than this.

Vice-Principal, Ms. Shalini Agarwal congratulated the whole team and said that the students have put in their best efforts by combining passion and commitment with their artistic brilliance. However, this event wouldn't have been possible without the constant guidance of the parents who always encouraged and strengthened their wards to bring out their best.

The Committee comprising United Nations General Assembly, United Nations Security Council, World Health Organisation, Lok Sabha, and IP were simulated.

The Committees discussed their respective issues. Deep and sometimes fierce responses and speeches were also witnessed. The first day closed with endless debates.

The second day commenced with daylight. Each Committee went into a deep debate. As the afternoon approached, the delegates started to prepare the documents of summary of each Committee. It seemed as if we were witnessing an actual alliance in the United Nations.

In the closing ceremony, the esteemed Principal and Vice-Principal thanked all delegates for being a part of this conference and awarded Ryan International School, Mayur Vihar, as the 'Best School Delegation'.

All executive board members gave feedback and announced the winners amongst the intellectual little diplomats. It was a tough fight among them. The Chief Advisor thanked all of the Committees and the panel of judges for their support and hard work. Even without the Chief Advisor, Puja Seth, this task was impossible.

The Secretary-General formally closed the Conference until next year. We look forward to a physical CRUXMUN next year and resolve to make it an even bigger and better event.
