Noida, June 7, 2021: A special virtual assembly was held via the Zoom platform to commemorate the 11th Punya Tithi of our beloved father-figure and Founder Chairman, Dr Stya Paul ji, a renowned philanthropist, educationist, and visionary par excellence.

Mr. DK Bedi, Education Officer, Apeejay Education, Principal, Mr. AK Sharma, Vice Principal, Ms. Amrita Hajela, and Primary In-charge, Ms. Smriti Samuel paid a heartfelt floral tribute to Dr. Stya Paul ji. Members of the Prefectorial Board and the staff also joined this momentous occasion. Homage was paid to the great soul through the rendition of his favourite and soulful bhajans. Mr. Bedi fondly remembered Shri Stya Paul ji and remarked that Apeejay School, Noida, held a special endearing place in his heart. Nostalgically, he further stated that Chairman Sir led by example and practiced what he preached. He fondly recalled Dr. Stya Paul ji’s ardent love for reading and remembered him as a great intellectual, disciplinarian, and compassionate leader. He shared interesting, inspiring anecdotes about Shri Stya Paul ji which reflected his punctuality, love for his country, students, and staff, and his commitment to quality education. He asserted that though physically he is not present with us, his legacy continues to inspire and motivate us.

The Principal thanked Mr. Bedi for sharing his valuable, enlightening experiences and restated that Dr. Stya Paul ji was a true karmayogi; a great but simple soul. He reiterated that we will always strive hard to uphold the cherished ideals, values, and mission of Shri Stya Paul ji and carry forward the lasting legacy of strong morals, hard work, and excellence.

Noida, May 07, 2021: Mother is a word that fills everyone with emotions. A Mother is certainly the most important human being in everyone’s life. Mother’s love for her child certainly cannot be compared with anything.

To pay gratitude and to honour the mother, motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society, ‘Mother’s Day Tweet up’ was organised for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten, on Friday, May 07, 2021, on the Zoom portal.

The moms, as well as the students, had a splendid time together in various fun games planned by the teachers. It was a pleasure watching the super excited moms with their dynamic and energetic children during these activities.

The Pre-Primary In-charge, Mrs Shailla Shahi, sensitised the students towards the role of mothers and their unconditional love. To mark the occasion, an e-card was sent to every mother by the class teachers on behalf of tiny tots. The day ended with all mothers and children, enjoying themselves and taking back fond memories of a day well spent.

Noida, April 22, 2021: Apeejay School, Noida, celebrated ‘Earth Day’ on April 22, 2021, via the Zoom platform. An array of creative activities was organised to commemorate this year’s theme ‘Restore Our Earth’.

To mark the occasion, students of Pre-Primary and Primary Department were shown informative PPTs which focused on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystem.

The students of classes Nursery and KG turned trash into treasure as they participated in Paper Art and Poster Making activity while learning the art of reducing, reusing, and recycling. The students of Class KG also prepared bird feeders and birdbaths.

The students of the Primary Department indulged in myriad creative activities. Students were sensitised about the use and importance of coloured bins and made paper bags & pen holders using biodegradable material. Students also made wall hangings and bird feeders. The activities aimed to develop values such as empathy, sensitivity, and a sense of belongingness to nature.

To instil awareness among the students of the Middle and Senior Departments, various activities and competitions were organised by the Interact Club of the school ranging from making bookmarks out of waste paper and material at home to Slogan Writing, Poster Making, Poem Writing, and Doodle Art.

The Earth Day session was a roaring success as the students successfully imbibed the learning and the message, to proactively use measures to save our beautiful Earth and make it a place worth living.

Noida, April 19, 2021: Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. Our cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. In line with the aforementioned, the Primary Department of Apeejay School, Noida celebrated ‘World Heritage Day’ via a Zoom session. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) seeks to encourage the identification, protection, and preservation of cultural and natural heritage around the world considered to be of outstanding value to humanity.

This is embodied in an international treaty called the Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, adopted by UNESCO in 1972. The teachers took students on a virtual tour to various Indian Heritage Sites.

The students were also shown documentaries on the heritage sites of the world which are protected by UNESCO and on India's rich cultural heritage. Through these informative documentaries, they learnt amazing facts about the rich and diverse heritage of the world. Students of classes IV and V engaged in ‘Bookmark Making Activity’ and ‘Poster Making Activity’ respectively, whereby, the students made aesthetically appealing posters and bookmarks on the Indian ancient edifice.

The students were sensitised about the importance of heritage as a legacy, passed on from one generation to another. Emphasis was laid on the importance of Indian heritage as an irreplaceable source of life and the importance of preserving the rich cultural and monumental heritage of the world.
