Noida, July 31, 2021: In an endeavour to provide an opportunity to our young ones to display their talent, improve their self-confidence and promote the spirit of healthy competition among the students a 'Show And Tell' competition was organised for the students of Class I, on July 31, 2021, through the virtual platform - Zoom.

The theme of the competition was 'Health and Hygiene'. The students showed one thing that they use to maintain hygiene and spoke a few lines about its use and importance. The competition was conducted in each section. The young performers exuded confidence during the presentation and exhibited their talent as well as effective speaking skills.

The participants were judged based on different parameters such as innovation in the selection of an object, clarity of speech, and overall presentation. The students and their parents were very delighted to see the young participants performing with confidence. The winners were awarded E-Certificates.

Noida, July 28, 2021: World Nature Conservation Day is celebrated to create & increase awareness about the importance of natural resources and how one can live sustainably. The day encourages people to save & protect Earth's natural resources that are fast-depleting, owing to over-exploitation and even misuse.

A special class was arranged for the students of Class VI (all sections) to observe the day and understand the significance of Conservation at their level. They actively and enthusiastically participated in various activities like making compost at home, eco-friendly pots & planters, bird feeders, decorative items from discarded materials, paper bags from old newspapers, etc.

Teachers from the Science Department explained the concept of ‘Conservation of Natural Resources’ through a PowerPoint presentation. Students also prepared and shared various pictures and videos regarding the different activities during an interactive session. It was a very enriching session for the students.

Noida, July 26, 2021:Apeejay School, Noida virtually celebrated 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' via the Zoom platform on July 26, 2021, to commemorate India's war victory and pay tribute to the Kargil Martyrs who are the symbol of indomitable courage and sacrifice.

The students recited patriotic poems and filled the entire atmosphere with patriotic fervour and zeal. The inspirational and emotional video shared by the teachers made the event informative and enlightening. It spread light on the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the sacrifices of the Kargil heroes. The teachers gave a brief historical background of the Kargil war and explained the importance of this day. They reiterated that patriotism is a social value and must be imbibed and upheld from a young age.

The Principal and the Vice-Principal visited classes and addressed the students encouraging them to be heroes in their ways by contributing to the betterment of the country. The celebration endeavoured to spread the message that it is the duty of each one of us to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs who lay down their lives for the security of their countrymen, rejoice in their victories, and renew our gratitude for their presence at our borders so that we may go about our lives uninterrupted.

Noida, July 23, 2021: Apeejay School, Noida, celebrated the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima or Vyasa Purnima on July 23, 2021. The day, celebrated in the Ashadha month, marks the birth anniversary of Guru Veda Vyasa - the legendary sage from the Mahabharat and the author of the epic. Guru Purnima is therefore synonymous with paying obeisance to the Guru. To honor Guru Vyasa and to show gratitude to their Gurus, students of Apeejay School, Noida, held short yet elaborate morning assemblies in their classes. The day started with the morning prayer, followed by the thought of the day and an informative talk on the occasion. An enlightening video highlighting the significance of the day was shared by the class teachers. The assembly concluded with an inspiring talk by the class teachers, educating the students about the momentous import of the day.

Vice Principal, Ms. Amrita Hajela graced the occasion by visiting Class VI B. Her words of wisdom, motivation, and appreciation illuminated the environment, with her being an ideal Guru, every student is blessed to have.

The assembly proved not only a way to thank the gurus but also to gain more knowledge about the auspicious day. The students within the limited preparation time gave remarkable performances and presentations.
