Noida, January 14, 2019: The students of Apeejay School, Noida, celebrated the festival of Lohri in the School auditorium with great enthusiasm. The programme started with a talk that updated everyone about the importance of Lohri, Makar Sakranti and Pongal festival. A Hindi poem reiterating the splendour of the harvest festival of Lohri was recited by the student of Class III. Scintillating 'Bhangra' and ‘Gidha’ were performed by the students. An informational video on Lohri also ensured that everyone was apprised about the importance of this vibrant and spirited festival. Primary In-Charge, Mrs Smriti Samuel, addressed the students and highlighted the importance of celebrating seasonal harvest festivals.

Noida, Dec. 29, 2018: Apeejay School, Noida, hosted a convivial carnival on December 29, 2018. The School is proud to host the Carnival to add to the ongoing Golden Jubilee year celebrations of its parent body - Apeejay Education Society and also celebrate its 50 glorious years of contributing to the field of education. The much awaited event was held in the School premises, keeping afloat the spirit of merriment, celebration and charity.

Mr Sandeep Marwah, President, Marwah Studios, Ms Swati Sharma, Radio Jockey and Ms Joyshree Arora, TV artist (‘Humlog’ fame) and Mr N.N. Nayyar, Senior Education Officer, Apeejay Education Society, were the esteemed guests for the event. Principal, Mr A.K Sharma, accorded a formal welcome to the guests and introduced them to the audience. The Principal further highlighted the glorious fifty years of the Apeejay Education Society and how its Founder Chairman, Dr Stya Paul, and his equally illustrious daughter, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, have played a definitive role in carving a niche and their memorable contribution to the field of academics. He felt that in the present world it is of paramount importance to excel in alternate fields as well. He thanked the guests and the parents for taking out time and being part of the celebration as their presence was of utmost importance to one and all.

Mr Marwah congratulated the performers for their powerful performance and spoke about the importance of technology & education in the modern world. He released the School Newsletter ‘Zephyr’.

The School believes in the maxim ‘No celebration is complete without the tenderness of humanity’. Keeping the same in mind, the School warmly welcomed the students of Jan Jagriti School of Sector 17, Noida, to be the part of merriment and they were given away the gift hampers. This school has been adopted by Apeejay School, Noida. A stall was donated to HCRA (Handicapped Children’s Rehabilitation Association) that displayed the products made by the students. These products were available for sale as well. Following the same spirit, a Blood Donation Camp was also put up by the School’s Interact Club.

The School was colorfully decked up with scintillating music and lively crowd. Be it a child or adult, the carnival had something in store for every age group. Game stalls, Wishing Tree and ‘Dedicate a Song’ were a few to name. An array of edible delights, raffle draw and exciting prizes ensured a memorable evening. Dances by various groups of students made the evening all the more vibrant.

The zeal and enthusiasm of the crowd further made the evening memorable for the times to come.
