Earth Day Celebration
Noida, April 21, 2017: To commemorate Earth Day and to sensitize the young ones to conserve our resources, Earth Day was celebrated in the School. Students of the Pre-Primary department presented a lively group dance and a foot tapping song conveying the message of ‘Save our Beautiful Planet Earth and Water’. A sapling plantation drive was undertaken where the students interacted with the Principal and the In-charges and shared their views and opinions on how vital it is to plant, conserve and recycle.
A ‘Best out of waste’ competition helped the students to recycle, reduce and reuse depleting resources and create new products. The products were later submitted to be judged on the basis of creativity, innovation and utility. Students from classes IX to XI participated whole heartedly in an Inter-Class Banner-making Competition on the topic ‘Earth Day’. They worked in coordination and learnt the values of team spirit & peace.
Students of the Primary Wing presented a skit based on the earth's conservation efforts by India, UK and Korea. There was a song on the Earth Day whereby students sang praises for Mother Nature and reiterated the importance of celebrating Earth Day. There was a Slogan-writing Competition for Class IV and a Poster-making Competition organised for Class V wherein students drew informative posters and wrote motivational slogans on earth conservation. Overall, the event was a roaring success and sensitised the students towards conserving Earth's precious gifts.
Evacuation Drill: Pre-Primary Department
Noida, April 20, 2017: ‘Evacuation Drill’ for the Pre-Primary Department of Apeejay School, Noida was executed on the morning of April 20, to gauge our preparedness to tackle any calamity. Teachers ensured that the students evacuated the premises safely and swiftly as per the evacuation plan. After the evacuation, all the staff members and students assembled in the School ground. They were applauded for the smooth conduct of the drill.
