Noida, July 27, 2016: Apeejay School, Noida conducted the Investiture Ceremony in the School auditorium wherein the prefects were handed over badges and sashes in the presence of the revered Chief Guest, Major General Rajesh Arya, VSM and Bar (Retd.), Principal, Vice Principal, Incharges and proud parents. A warm floral welcome was extended to the Chief Guest by the School Principal followed by lightning of the lamp. A mesmerising invocation dance was also performed by the beaming primary students.

The School Principal introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering and spoke about instilling effective leadership skills among young leaders. He reiterated the fact that there is a need for proactive leaders in the present times. Shaunak Choudhary and Sparsh Sehgal were named as the Head Boy and Head Girl for the Middle & Senior Wing. Avi Bhatia and Ananya Shukla were named as the Head Boy and Head Girl for the Primary Wing.

The School Principal administered the oath of office to the newly elected members and reiterated the importance of striving hard to achieve success & living upto the school motto ‘Soaring High is My Nature’. He encouraged them to uphold the values inculcated in the school.

The School has initiated Green Championship this year to pledge for preservation of environment. Badges were handed over for the same to the Green Champions. The Chief Guest, in his speech, congratulated and blessed the members. He, on a lighter note, shared the concept of smartness with an intelligent joke. The ceremony concluded on a musical note with sonorous Jugalbandi, Vote of Thanks and the rendition of the school song.

Noida, July 26, 2016: Apeejay School, Noida, organised the first edition of the Dr. Stya Paul Memorial Inter-School English Debate Competition, instituted in the fond memory of Dr. Stya Paul, Founder Chairman of Apeejay Education Society.

The Debate was organised to coincide with the Kargil Vijay Diwas. Befitting the occasion, the topic for debate was ‘If you want Peace, be ready for War’. The participants from over 28 prestigious schools of Delhi-NCR converged at this mega event wherein speakers expressed their opinions for and against the motion. The judges for the occasion were Mrs. Kumkum Samariya and Ms. Gaytri Madhura. The former is an educationist, freelance content writer with a vast experience in teacher-training and teaching. The latter is an Associate Editor at Microsoft.

The day concluded with distribution of prizes by School Principal, Mr. S.C. Tiwari. The first position was bagged by Disha Ray, Apeejay School, Pitampura. The second and third position was given to Abhinav Agarwal, Modern School, Barakhamba and Aditya Tiwari, D.P.S., Noida respectively. The Rolling Trophy for the ‘Best School’ was handed over to Apeejay School, Pitampura.
