National Level Achievements 2016

Bangalore, April 10, 2016: The Goethe Institute, in collaboration with INDAF (The Indo-German Teachers Association), organises the German Olympiad every alternate year at the Regional and National level. This year, the Zonal round was held in Delhi in which 170 students participated from various schools of Delhi-NCR. The examination assessed the students on the basis of their reading, listening and speaking skills. Finally, four students were selected to participate in the National round of the Olympiad, including Aditya Bansal.

The National Round was held in Bangalore from 8th - 10th April 2016, in which 27 students participated from across the country including cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Patna. This round also consisted of an examination based on the written and spoken skills. Aditya Bansal secured the second position in the proficiency level A2 and also won a one week trip to Sri Lanka. The ceremony was attended by people from the German Consulate and the Goethe Institute.

Noida, January 29, 2016: The students of Apeejay School, Noida participated in the Annual Late Smt. Rajeshwari Paul Inter-Apeejay Tennis Tournament (2015-16), held at Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai, from 27th to 29th January 2016. The tournament was organised by Silverline Sports. Both, the girls’ and boys’ team bagged the third positions and got the bronze medal along with certificates of merit. Avanika of Class IV E was adjudged the ‘Best Player of the Tournament’ and was awarded a trophy by Dr. Neha Berlia.

Participating students from the boys’ section included Arnav Garg (Class V A) , Apoorv Khanna (Class V A), Devansh Thakur (Class V B) & Arnav Kataria (Class V C) and from the girls’ section included Suhani Prasad (Class V A), Mansi Karthik (Class V B), Arleen (Class V E) & Avanika Singh (Class IV E).
