Celebrating Festivals

In our multicultural society we need to instill and enforce the universal values of brotherhood, tolerance, peace, compassion, patriotism and solidarity in our children. A celebration in the form of special assemblies is an effort to sensitize students towards living in harmony in a diverse society. They are taught to learn to use their thinking ability and skills to work for a safe and better world and to live in harmony with their fellow beings.

Baisakhi and Ram Navmi, Earth Day, Mothers Day, Doctors Day, Grand Parents Day, Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day, Janamashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, Eid-ul-Fitr, Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti, Dussehra, World Food Day, Diwali, Guruparv, Children's Day, Christmas, Lohri, Makar Sankranti and Pongal, Republic Day, Basant Panchami, Martyr's Day, Maha Shiv Ratri were all celebrated with great enthusiasm.


Noida, April 15, 2021: The Primary Department of Apeejay School, NOIDA felicitated the memory and life of Dr. B R Ambedkar on his birthday, via a virtual Zoom celebration on April 15, 2021. The teachers emphasised the values and virtues of the teachings of Dr. Ambedkar and his life.

Ambedkar's legacy as a socio-political reformer had a deep effect on modern India. His initiatives towards influencing various spheres of life and transforming the way India today looks at socio-economic policies and education were reiterated.

The morning assembly commenced with an informative talk and thought listing the contributions of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar for the people of India. The fact that he was the ‘Father of the Indian Constitution’ and a social rights activist was highlighted. Students paid tribute to the great leader and the ‘Architect of the Indian Constitution’ who was born on 14th April 1891.

A video was shown on the life of Babasaheb Ambedkar to the students and a song, recorded specially for this occasion, was played across all classes. Overall, it was an enriching experience for all and reiterated our belief in ‘Unity in Diversity’.

Noida, April 13, 2021: The Pre-Primary Department of Apeejay School, NOIDA virtually celebrated the festival of Baisakhi with great enthusiasm and fervour.

The students, gaily clad in traditional Punjabi attire, tapped their feet to the beats of Punjabi songs. Teachers explained the historic and cultural significance of the festival.

The Pre-Primary In-charge, Mrs. Shailla Shahi applauded the students and teachers for their active participation. She stressed the need to celebrate such days with the students.
