School Activities


Inter House competitions form an integral part of the school curriculum so whether it is skill or elocution quiz or best out-of waste, games or yoga, all competitions are held with verve and gusto and are aimed at highlighting the importance of sportsmanship for bringing out, the best of compelling spirit of young players.

Apeejay School, NOIDA, provides various opportunities for training of students for leadership. The school provides this training through two official bodies- PREFECTORIAL BOARD and THE SCHOOL COUNCIL. The school is further divided into four house systems – GANDHI HOUSE, NEHRU HOUSE, RADHAKRISHNAN HOUSE AND TAGORE HOUSE. These houses are looked after by a team of House Prefects and House Wardens.

The four houses not only symbolize high values, but at Apeejay our students are also trained to be messengers of these values, not only within the school boundaries but to take them far and beyond.

Noida, Dec 12, 2021: Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a historic campaign in the country is being celebrated pan India with the aim to renaissance students in schools after pandemic by providing them pathways to inculcate the habit of fitness in new and innovative ways.

Under this flagship programme of Fit India Mission - Fit India School Week was scheduled from 14th Nov. till 12th Dec. 2021. The physical education teachers in Apeejay School, NOIDA instilled the importance of physical exercises in students of classes VI-IX to remain physically fit and to take care of the components of physical fitness like strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, and coordinative abilities to help themselves and to help build a fit nation.

Noida, Dec 10, 2021: Human Rights Day is observed and celebrated on 10th December every year worldwide. It is on this day in the year 1948, the United Nations acknowledged and proclaimed in their General Assembly to observe the celebration of human rights. According to this Declaration - “All human beings are born equal with dignity and rights”. The day reminds us of our powers to stop any injustice or abuse by any authority.

In line with the aforementioned, the students of Class V celebrated ‘Human Rights Day’ via Zoom session on December 10, 2021.

The students were shown an informative video on Human Rights including the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression, right to work and education and many more. The students were apprised about the importance of Human Rights as everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination. Through an informative talk, the students were sensitised about the significance of the protection and effective realisation of Human Rights in a democratic country.

Principal, Mr. A.K Sharma and Primary In-charge, Mrs. Smriti Samuel emphasised the celebration of Human Rights Day. They said that it is the occasion to educate the students about the necessity to provide every human the basic dignity one needs to live. They also highlighted this year's theme for Human Rights Day, which is ‘Equality - Reducing inequalities, advancing human rights’.

Overall, it was a great learning experience for all the students.

Noida, Dec 10, 2021: Keeping the aforementioned in mind, Apeejay School, NOIDA organised the 3rd Road Safety Week celebrations from December 6 to December 10, 2021, in the Primary department for the students of classes III-V.

Various events were organised both online and offline, which aimed at raising awareness about traffic rules and reducing the number of road accidents that occur daily.

To mark the awareness campaign, various activities were conducted such as poem writing, paragraph writing, and bookmark making throughout the week. The students wrote informative poems and paragraphs reiterating the importance of road safety. They were also shown educational videos depicting the same. The students emphasised the relevance of following road safety SOPs which can save so many innocent lives. Bookmark-making activity was organised by the school on an offline as well as an online platform. It was a remarkable effort to sensitize the young learners on such a relevant topic.

On December 9, 2021, students were made aware of the Road Safety rules and regulations in the special assembly. Students also drew road safety signs and were apprised about the importance of these signs in traffic rules.

Teachers addressed the students and encouraged them to learn vicariously through the video presentations. The students discussed issues such as rash driving, drunken driving, and road rage with a special mention about minor driving. They also discussed the immediate causes and traumatic effects of the impulsive behaviour of people on the roads.

Principal, AK Sharma, and Primary In-charge, Mrs.Smriti Samuel reiterated the importance of obeying rules while travelling on roads.

These activities aimed to develop empathy and sensitivity about road safety and not take it for granted. It also helped in shaping the right attitude towards following road signs and rules, thereby ensuring that they become responsible passengers, cyclists, and pedestrians themselves. Students participated very enthusiastically in the interactive sessions held during these activities.

On the whole, it was quite an informative and fruitful session for all.

Value - Facing Challenges (Session 3)

Noida, Dec 8, 2021: In a bid to promote values such as sharing and caring, respect, facing challenges, and doing our best, Apeejay School, Noida, launched the Awakening Programme in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission on June 29, 2021. As part of this programme, a session was conducted on December 8, 2021, in classes I to V at 8:30 am. The third value of ‘Facing Challenges’ was taken up further with the help of various activities. Multiple questions were asked and group activities were conducted in all classes as per the predefined manual, to track the awakening journey of the children and thereby empower them to manifest their infinite potential.

The teachers, via the Awakening programme, will try to influence children at an early stage by evoking their feelings and enabling them to think with empathy. The use of story narratives and activities in this program aims to encourage the child to think, speak and act freely and thereby aid in their socio-emotional development.

Noida, November 20, 2021: It is rightly said the students are the lifeline of the school; the entire campus misses the laughs and cheers of the little angels when they are away. In an endeavour to help our young learners feel the aura of the physical school and become familiar with their teachers, the Pre-Primary Department organised an informal interactive session with the parents and students of Nursery A and Nursery D on Saturday, 20th November 2021. The students and their parents visited the school campus and were excited to meet their class teacher. It was a pleasure watching them have a joyful exchange of thoughts with their peer group, playing on swings having a fun time together.

The parents and the teachers followed the time slots to avoid huge gatherings, maintained physical distancing, and followed Covid-19 norms.
