Inter House competitions form an integral part of the school curriculum so whether it is skill or elocution quiz or best out-of waste, games or yoga, all competitions are held with verve and gusto and are aimed at highlighting the importance of sportsmanship for bringing out, the best of compelling spirit of young players.
Apeejay School, NOIDA, provides various opportunities for training of students for leadership. The school provides this training through two official bodies- PREFECTORIAL BOARD and THE SCHOOL COUNCIL. The school is further divided into four house systems – GANDHI HOUSE, NEHRU HOUSE, RADHAKRISHNAN HOUSE AND TAGORE HOUSE. These houses are looked after by a team of House Prefects and House Wardens.The four houses not only symbolize high values, but at Apeejay our students are also trained to be messengers of these values, not only within the school boundaries but to take them far and beyond.
Painting Exhibition organised by HT
February 7, 2013: The Hindustan Times organised an exhibition of paintings selected from the competition held at School level in Delhi and NCR. This event was held at Dilli Haat and three paintings from the School were selected for the exhibition.
Sanjay Bhatacharya, a renowned artist, graced the occasion as the students participated in the painting activity guided by him.
Noida, February 4, 2013 A language workshop was conducted by Sh. G.C. Vats with language teachers of English, Hindi and Sanskrit in the LCD Lab. Sh. Vats discussed the nuances of language teaching such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. He also emphasised on the general objectives of teaching and on the fact that students should move from known to unknown as it reiterates language-teaching. He further reminded teachers why poetry is better appreciated than prose and grammar is taught to develop unerring sense of language. Teachers actively participated in the discussion.
Day Long Picnic for Nursery Students
Noida, January 29, 2013: A day long educational trip to the Rail Museum at Chanakya Puri and The Millennium Park was organised for 197 students of Nursery.
At the Rail Museum, the students enjoyed a ride in the toy train on the miniature rail track. They saw live exhibits as well as working/non-working models in the indoor gallery. The students saw a display of locomotives and carriages and also saw the ‘Qutub Minar’ while on the way. In the Millennium Park, the students enjoyed the beautifully maintained gardens and the rides.
Inter House Maths Relay
Noida, January 21, 2013: Inter House Maths Relay was conducted for classes VI to XI in the Basket Ball court of the School. One student from each class for each house was selected. There were 5 marks for each correct answer and 5 bonus points for fastest and correct answer.
The results announced were as below –
Radha Krishnan House: 1st
Nehru House: 2nd
