School Activities

Inter House competitions form an integral part of the school curriculum so whether it is skill or elocution quiz or best out-of waste, games or yoga, all competitions are held with verve and gusto and are aimed at highlighting the importance of sportsmanship for bringing out, the best of compelling spirit of young players.

Apeejay School, NOIDA, provides various opportunities for training of students for leadership. The school provides this training through two official bodies- PREFECTORIAL BOARD and THE SCHOOL COUNCIL. The school is further divided into four house systems – GANDHI HOUSE, NEHRU HOUSE, RADHAKRISHNAN HOUSE AND TAGORE HOUSE. These houses are looked after by a team of House Prefects and House Wardens.

The four houses not only symbolize high values, but at Apeejay our students are also trained to be messengers of these values, not only within the school boundaries but to take them far and beyond.

Noida, May 1, 2018: A special assembly, on the topic ‘Dignity of Labour’, was organised in the School auditorium. Students were told that all of our work is noble & worth celebrating, and it’s everyone’s duty to respect the hard work & dedication of working people. We, as a nation, should always safeguard the working class and respect their contribution to the nation. The assembly concluded with a short presentation on Labour Day.

Number of prizes which the students received from different events held at various schools were also announced:

  • Tanmay Agarwal (VII C) became the UP State Champion in written and oral examination for UCMAS, Abacus Competition.
  • The CODE Team of Apeejay School, Noida lifted the overall winner’s trophy at the Somerville School’s Computer Symposium ‘INCOGNITO’.
  • Ritika won the Gold Medal in the Delhi State Sub Junior Karate Competition, held at Talkatora Stadium.
  • Ishita Soni (VIII B) secured the first rank in the city level of Noida and Ghaziabad in the National Level Science Talent Search Examination.
  • Aqsa Musarrat (VII C) bagged the second position in ‘Kyorugi’, the 5th Grand Open International Taekwondo Championship 2018.

Yujur Jaiswal and Jatin Naik won the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award for ‘Best Short Film Under-18’. Yujur was the Director and Jatin played the lead role for the film titled ‘Lost in Whale’.

Winning Spree at ‘Chunauti’ at Apeejay School, Saket

  • Shriya Chaudhary won the first prize in the event ‘Chand Minute Yoga’.
  • Mallika Mandal (X A) and Shruti Heda (IX G) bagged the first prize in Limerick Slam.
  • Veda Nagpal (VIII G) and Shreya Bhatnagar (VIII A) won the second prize in the ‘On-the-Spot Sanskrit - Naara Lekhan Pratiyogita’.

Students were told how to take care of different domains in life. The School Principal reiterated the point by giving the example of Indian Cricketer, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He told the students to focus their attention on their potential which is always with them.

Noida, April 24, 2018: The English Creative Writing Competition was organised for the students of classes VI-XII. The objective of the competition was to allow the students to express their opinions, without any inhibitions, on a wide spectrum of topics. These topics were given to them on-the-spot and they were at liberty to express them though an article, a story or a poem.

Students participated enthusiastically and presented enriching and intriguing pieces. Apart from the prizes, the opportunity to see their articles in the School magazine (if selected) proved to be a great motivating factor for the participants.

Noida, December 29, 2017: A special assembly was conducted for the students of classes VI-X in the School auditorium on December 29, 2017. The theme of the assembly was to bid adieu to the year gone by and welcome the New Year with hope, health and happiness.

The assembly comprised a thought, news, a self-composed poem and a talk based on the assembly theme. School Principal, Mr. S.C. Tiwari also addressed the students and wished them well for the New Year.

Students from two classes (VIII C & VII F) were also felicitated for their innovative and appreciable efforts put in for and during the annual school carnival 'Vibrance 2017'.

Noida, December 28, 2017: The Primary Department of Apeejay School, Noida conducted a Role Play Competition themed ‘Humaare Mahaan Sangeetagya’ for the students of Class IV. Children showcased their talent in the form of different singers and musicians through this competition. They got an opportunity to enhance their knowledge about singers and musicians, as well as their vocabulary.

Noida, December 28, 2017: The Primary Department of the School conducted a ‘Fast Reading Assessment’ activity for the students of Class V. Students were required to give an online assessment (apx. 40 minutes duration) which had three sections pertinent to various aspects of English language. Through this activity, children got an opportunity to enhance their reading habits, comprehension skills and vocabulary.
