School Activities

Inter House competitions form an integral part of the school curriculum so whether it is skill or elocution quiz or best out-of waste, games or yoga, all competitions are held with verve and gusto and are aimed at highlighting the importance of sportsmanship for bringing out, the best of compelling spirit of young players.

Apeejay School, NOIDA, provides various opportunities for training of students for leadership. The school provides this training through two official bodies- PREFECTORIAL BOARD and THE SCHOOL COUNCIL. The school is further divided into four house systems – GANDHI HOUSE, NEHRU HOUSE, RADHAKRISHNAN HOUSE AND TAGORE HOUSE. These houses are looked after by a team of House Prefects and House Wardens.

The four houses not only symbolize high values, but at Apeejay our students are also trained to be messengers of these values, not only within the school boundaries but to take them far and beyond.

Noida, May 10, 2023: In our continuous venture to strengthen innovativeness and creativity of our students, an Intra-Class Competition - 'Toy from Trash', was held for the students of Class V. Three best entries from each section were shortlisted for the final round held on May 10, 2023. The competition aimed to orient the students towards problem-solving skills and ability to amalgamate their mathematical as well as creative skills. It also contributed in development of fine motor skills and mental concentration amongst the young learners.

Noida, May 10, 2023: An Inter-House Radio Show activity was organised in the school auditorium. It aimed at providing students of classes IX and X an opportunity to showcase their creativity in hosting a show on a radio channel. The four competing houses were represented by a team of 8 students each, who presented a wide spectrum of entertaining items ranging from advertisements, jingles, motivational talk show and news with the latest happenings around the world and celebrity interviews. The programme concluded with the motivational words and declaration of the result by Principal, Ms Ritu Kohli. Nehru house stood tall with the First position. Tagore house bagged the Second position followed by Gandhi house at Third position.

Noida, May 09, 2023: An assembly was held to talk about promoting a healthy lifestyle and healthy food habits by students of VIII-D. The assembly focused on the importance of eating well, being active and adopting healthy habits. One of the highlights of the assembly was a play that compared healthy food choices to junk food. The assembly also included a dance performance on "Mahamrityunjay," mantra which had a spiritual aspect to it. Overall, the assembly was a great way to raise awareness about healthy food choices and a healthy lifestyle.

Noida, May 08, 2023: In an endeavour to provide an opportunity to our students to develop their confidence, oratorical skills, life skills and the spirit of healthy competition, a ‘Show and Tell’ Competition was organised for Class I. The theme of the competition was ‘Modes of Transport’. The students exuded confidence and exhibited their talent. They used a variety of props in an innovative way. This event helped in inculcating the importance of vicarious learning and value aided education amongst the students.

Noida, May 1, 2023: On the occasion of the ‘Cyber Awareness Year’, Cyber Guardians, at Apeejay School, NOIDA, organised an interactive Cyber Awareness workshop for the students of Classes IX and XI. Two prominent speakers were invited to speak in the workshop. The Guest Speakers was Mr Subimal Bhattacharjee, Policy Advisor on Cyber & Technology issues. He advised the students about the “social hygiene” that each one should follow by implementing strictly confidential and strong passwords to personal accounts. Mr. R.K. Singh, an expert in Mission and Satcom Systems and also our equal stakeholder as parent, reiterated about not to get carried away by online gaming platform which are phishing medium to trap youngsters into giving personal information.
