Enrichment Programmes For Teachers

Noida, October 13, 2017: Dr. Charu Kalra (NMC), with a rich experience of eight years, was the resource person for the workshop on ‘First Aid’ conducted for teachers in the School auditorium. She touched upon the basic and simple situations that teachers face in the school. There were adequate demonstrations to help teachers understand the nuances of First Aid. Chronic diseases among children were also dealt with. Teachers were apprised about the treatment to be given during medical emergencies that arise in the day-to-day functioning of the School. The session was informative and helpful.

Noida, April 22, 2017: An informative and interactive workshop on ‘Capacity Building Programme on Life Skills’ was conducted at Apeejay School, Noida by CBSE - Academic and Training Unit. The Workshop was coordinated by CoET (Centre of Excellence for Teachers, Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh). About forty participants from well-known CBSE schools took part in the day-long session.

The Workshop was conducted by Mrs. Harjinder Kaur, Principal, G.D. Goenka World School, Muzaffarnagar and Mr. Balwinder Singh, Principal, Guru Nanak Public School, Kanpur. The participants were accorded a warm welcome by the School Principal, Mr. S.C. Tiwari. He introduced the team to the audience and spoke about the need of Life Skills in the present educational scenario.

Step wise initiation of Life Skills was done through various activities and handouts. After transacting of the skills, members were told how to familiarize the students with the skills and finally the assessment of life skills and finalization was discussed.

To conclude, the house was thrown open to the participants for a Q&A session. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Shefalee Gupta, Senior Academic Coordinator, Apeejay School, Noida.

Noida, Feb. 4, 2017: A two-day Capacity Building (Training) Programme organised by CBSE was attended by two teachers from Apeejay School, Noida – Mrs. Divya Joshi and Mrs. Anuja Sharma. The Workshop was held on 3rd & 4th Feb. 2017 in Sarla Chopra D.A.V. Centenary Public School, Noida.

The Workshop on the pertinent topic of ‘Classroom Management’ was conducted by Sh. Madan Sawhney and Sh. Arvind Shrivastava from CBSE. It aimed at keeping the teachers abreast with the latest strategies to manage classroom environment effectively.

Interesting real-life scenario in today’s classroom and ideal classroom scenario were also discussed. The Workshop focused on the key concerns of classroom management with the use of effective teaching strategies. The resource persons discussed and shared the best methods adopted for classroom management and how the best potential of students could be extracted by giving them a congenial and friendly environment.

The Workshop was informative and the sessions kept the teachers fully engrossed.
