Enrichment Programmes For Students
Workshop in collaboration with ASSOCHAM & Volvo Car India
Noida, February 18, 2020: The School organised a Workshop, in association with ASSOCHAM & Volvo Car India, to spread awareness and educate students about the hazards of air pollution on the environment. The objective was to encourage students to be active participants in bringing about a social change and take the world towards a clean & healthy environment.
The School Principal, Mr AK Sharma, welcomed the guests and addressed the gathering and shared the idea of ‘3Rs - Reuse, Recycle & Reduce’ and how lifestyle should be such that it is friendly for planet earth and all the inhabitants of the planet.
In an interactive session, the Resource Person, Dr Prachi Mishra encouraged the children to make conscious efforts to adopt measures to reduce air pollution while Dr Neelam Rathore, through experiments demonstrated the causes of air pollution. Mr Sudeep Narayan, Managing Director, Volvo Car India, shared his views on the new generation cars that promise to be environment friendly.
The Workshop was followed by the Prize distribution of the winners of activity - ‘Manifestation Ideation to combat Air Pollution’. An informative workshop on the alarming rate of deteriorating air quality followed next. The third prize was bagged by Ishita Soni of Class VIII G, second position was won by Aakar Gupta of Class VIII A and the first prize was awarded to Bhavya Tiwari of Class VIII B.
The students who attained highest scores in ANCQ Competition were also felicitated by the Principal. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by the Vice-Principal, Mrs Amrita Hajela.
The session was highly interactive, informative and productive.
Workshop on Healthy Habits and Hygiene
Noida, February 5, 2020: Good health and hygiene has become a major cause of concern for the whole world. To spread awareness among students about the deadly viruses, a workshop was held for students of the Primary Department (classes I – V) in the School auditorium, whereby the teachers from the Science Department prepared and presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation.
The Workshop aimed to develop a thorough understanding about the Corona virus, its symptoms, its preventive measures and the countries affected by the Corona virus. Students were shown a descriptive video and a PPT for their information. Later, brain storming sessions were conducted with the students in the classrooms.
Primary In-Charge, Mrs Smriti Samuel, addressed the students and sensitised them about personal hygiene & use of incorporating healthy habits in our day-to-day routine.
