Nerul, July 2, 2013: The new leaders of Apeejay School, Nerul were inducted into the Prefectorial Body in the Investiture Ceremony held in the School. The Chief Guest was Rear Admiral (Retd.), V.Balachandran, AVSM, NM & VSM. The School Principal, Shri. Rakesh Joshi, administered the oath to the Prefectorial Board in the presence of all the House Masters. The newly appointed Prefects and Captains promised to take up their responsibilities in all sincerity.

Mumbai, August 14, 2012: To inculcate civic and political awareness among students, Apeejay School, Nerul held its 1st Youth Parliament Session for the year 2012-2013.

The proceedings of the Monsoon Session of the Youth Parliament began with the welcoming of the Chief Guest, Mr.Sairaj Bahutule, an eminent cricketer. The Principal of the School, Mr. Rakesh Joshi, administered the oath to the Senior Head Boy, Upamanyu Bhattacharya; leader of the ruling party and Siddhant Ravi, leader of the opposition. This was followed by the other Parliamentarians taking their oath of office.

A patriotic song “Tu Bada Mahan Hai” was sung to grace the occasion. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and reminded them of their role towards the society.

The session was concluded with a “Vote of Thanks” and the singing of the National Anthem.

Mumbai, August 15, 2012: The 65th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great vigour and enthusiasm on the eve of Independence Day at Apeejay School, Nerul.

The Principal, Mr Rakesh Joshi, hoisted the flag in the presence of teachers, prefects, captains and school students inaugurated the ceremony.

The tiny tots of the Pre-Primary section of the School danced in harmony to the tunes of the song “Aarambh Hai Pracharan” as a memorable event in the opening ceremony followed by powerful speeches of Anushruti of XI A in English; Ayushman S. of XI C in Hindi and Kranti A. of IX C in Marathi, highlighting the achievements of nation & noteworthy developments in the previous year.

The Principal, too, inspired the gathering through his speech. The event was finally concluded through chorus singing of “Mera Watan Wahi Hain” and the National Song “Vande Mataram” by the School’s reputed vocalists who aroused a feeling of nationalism among us.

Mumbai, August 18, 2012: “Id –Ul-Fitr” was celebrated in the school premises wherein a special assembly was held on this occasion. The programme began with a prayer from the ‘Holy Quran’ – ‘Sura Fatema’, by the students of Classes III to V. Sahil Biswas of Class IV B delivered an English speech on the significance of “Id”. Finally, a ‘Nazm-Nat’ was performed by Zainab of Class III A and Qasim of Class VI A.

Also, the Principal, Mr. Rakesh Joshi, addressed the gathering on this occasion as he conveyed his good wishes to all the children, their parents and the teachers. He stated that the celebration of “Id” was the time for giving and sharing things with the less privileged people.
