Nerul, August 30, 2013: The 23rd session of the Youth Parliament was held in August 2013 which was presided over by the School Principal, Mr. Rakesh Joshi. The proceedings of the Monsoon Session of the Youth Parliament began with the welcoming of the Chief Guest of the occasion, Mr. J.N. Sinharkar, the Deputy Commissioner of NMMC. The Principal of the School, Mr. Rakesh Joshi, administered the oath to the Senior Head Boy, Rishi R Vanukuru, leader of the Ruling Party and Shikhar Srivastava, leader of the Opposition. They solemnly took oaths promising to serve the country. This was followed by the other Parliamentarians taking their oaths of office. The ministers were felicitated by the Chief Guest and the Principal of the School.

August 28, 2013: The significance ofJanmashtami is to encourage goodwill and to discourage bad will. It celebrates togetherness. The holy occasion brings people together, signifying unity and faith.

Like every year,Apeejay School, Nerul celebrated ‘Janmashtami’ in the school premises. A special assembly was organized for the primary classes on this festive occasion.

Nerul, July 17, 2013: The Interact Club of Apeejay School, Nerul gives students an opportunity to rise above and look into the lives of the less fortunate ones. Interact Club had its installation ceremony inJuly and was sponsored by the Rotary Club New Bombay Seaside. The special guests for the occasion included Dr. Trilochan Singh, special invitee; Dr. Praveen Srivastava, President of the Rotary Club; Mr. Rakesh Jain and Mrs. Stuti Sen Sharma, among other dignitaries of the Rotary Club.

Nerul, August 15, 2013: The 67th Independence Day was celebrated in the school premises on 15th August, 2013.A vibrant cultural show was put up by the students of thePrimary, SecondaryandSenior Secondarysections of the school. The patriotic fervour of the students was expressed in the form of music, folk dances and some very inspiring speeches in English, Hindi and Marathi. The School Principal, Mr. Rakesh Joshi, hoisted theNational Flag and addressed the gathering on this occasion.
