Mumbai, October 23, 2012: The Dussehra celebrations took place in the school premises and a special assembly was held on this occasion. Also, all the Primary classes displayed charts on Durga Puja and Dussehra.
Speeches on the significance of Dussehra were delivered by the Primary students, followed by a colourful folk dance ‘Dandiya’. A very entertaining skit, comprising various episodes of the ‘Ramayana’ – ‘Ahilya Prasang’, ‘Ram Bharat Milan’ and ‘Ram Ravan Yudh’ was presented by the students of Classes IV and V.
The Principal, Shri. Rakesh Joshi, addressed the gathering on this occasion. He stated that Dussehra was a celebration of the victory of good over evil and also conveyed his good wishes to all the staff, students and their parents on the occasion of Dussehra.
Mumbai, November 9, 2012: Just before closing down for the Diwali vacation, the School celebrated the ‘festival of lights’ and a special assembly was held to mark this occasion. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Shri Rakesh Joshi. The students of Class V then delivered speeches on the significance of Diwali. The students of Class IV performed an inspiring skit based on the theme – ‘Pollution-free Diwali’.
The students of the Primary classes also lit ‘diyas’ to spread the message of peace and prosperity. The students of Class V also presented a beautiful ‘Kathak’ dance.
Mumbai, April 21, 2012: The School celebrated its Silver Jubilee Year in a yet another grand culmination marked by the Annual Day, “Colofalco 2012”. The day started with the display of various projects in the Science and Social Science exhibitions, “ESSENCE 2012”.
The programme began with an invocation dance seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha which was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The evening was marveled by the melodious school orchestra comprising 100 students from Classes II to XII.
The Principal’s Report (2011-2012) was then presented by Dr. Rakesh Joshi, highlighting the feats of the young achievers of the School in the course of the academic session 2011-2012. On this memorable occasion, the august gathering was also treated to the journey down the memory lane through a powerpoint presentation giving a glimpse of the path treaded by the school in the last 25 years.
Mrs. Sushma Berlia, President, Apeejay Education Society, congratulated the staff and students of the School on the successful completion of 25 years and expressed her pleasure at being a part of this joyous celebration. Mrs. Berlia then released the School Souvenir ‘Silhouette’ which led to the prize distribution ceremony wherein several prizes were awarded to those who have showed exemplary performance throughout the year. The spectacular cultural extravaganza comprised a beautiful musical dance medley of evergreen numbers presented by the tiny tots of the School. To get a rare insight into Lord Buddha’s life, a play was staged to mesmerise the audience. The concluding item, Nostalgia, was presented to reminiscence the 25 years of the school reaching the echelons of glory and achievement. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
Mumbai, October 4, 2012: Apeejay School, Nerul celebrated the birth anniversary of Late Dr. Stya Paul, Founder Chairman, Apeejay Education Society. A special assembly was held in the school premises to mark this occasion.
The programme began with a special prayer followed by an Invocation Dance by the students of the Primary Section. The Principal, Mr. Rakesh Joshi; Associate Principal, Dr. Mrs. M.R. Shipley; Academic Co-ordinator, Mrs. Rina Pal; Primary Co-ordinator, Mrs. Minati Dash and all the staff members of Apeejay School, Nerul then offered a floral tribute - ‘Shraddhanjali’ to Late Dr. Stya Paul.
The students of the Primary section of the school paid tribute to their beloved founder chairman Late Dr. Stya Paul by the recital of some of his favourite bhajans. The Principal, Shri. Rakesh Joshi read out the President’s Message to the students and staff of the school. A colourful cultural programme was put up by the students of the Primary section of the school. A Dance Drama ‘Tu Shaheen Hai’, based on some inspiring values manifested by Dr. Stya Paul in various walks of his life, was also presented. The programme ended with a ‘candle march’ wherein the children paid tribute to the great Founder Chairman, Dr. Stya Paul, by lighting candles in his memory.
