Having spent 6 years at Apeejay, like many of my peers, I had access to an incredible range of opportunities that I was able to leverage for my development. Over this period, my academic proclivities also evolved from one of a competitive teenager’s to that of an avid bibliophile. School was the first place where I first felt a deep sense of community, and more importantly, got a chance to don the leadership outfit several years in a row, learning and forming lasting relationships, many of which I carry forward to this day.

My most memorable moments include the annual Rotaract Inter-School season in New Bombay when we tickled our creative faculties, rolled up our sleeves and got really competitive, taking home several awards. Those were fun weekends! There was this one time when we won the Traditional Day contest, celebrations following which raged for many weeks. This also turned out to be a superb forum for scholastic and social networking.

I don’t have words to express the joy I feel as our school completes 25 years of excellence in the field of education. From its inception, 25 years back, Apeejay School, Nerul has travelled far. The School was my second home for 11 years. It is here that I learnt the importance of life skills like commitment, positive attitude, willingness to make sincere efforts and the persistence to continue until the goal is achieved.

I consider myself very fortunate to have got the opportunity to be the Head Girl of the school twice. During my stint as the Head Girl, I got various opportunities to develop my leadership skills. My self-confidence developed as I learnt to manage studies with other important responsibilities. I think this aspect has played a very important role in my life.

I visit school every 3-4 months to meet all my teachers, ancillary staff who have showered me with all their love and affection over all these years and continue to do so. I would just like to tell all my reverent teachers and the entire School fraternity for making me what I am today.

Cherished Moments…

Recently, I passed by Apeejay School, Nerul. All the memories of the days spent here flooded my mind and how much I wished if it was possible to re-live those beautiful days again.

I joined Apeejay School, Nerul when I was in Class V. After spending eight memorable years here I passed Class XII and joined MANIT Bhopal. Through campus interview, I was selected for my present job at Infosys Technologies Ltd., Bangalore where I am working as a Systems Engineer.

The teachers at Apeejay have given me much more than I could thank them for. The value-based education at Apeejay has made me a good human being who knows how to work along with people without making any compromises.

To conclude, I am proud to be an Apeejayite and true to the Apeejay spirit. I will always strive towards higher standards of excellence as ‘Soaring High Is My Nature’.
