DEAR Club engages students with several activities in the field of Literature and Language. There are many sessions where the members of the Club sit and discuss authors and their works. The members research legendary writers like William Shakespeare, Ruskin Bond, Charles Dickens, Munshi Premchand, Sudha Murthy, R.K. Narayan, and others. A file is maintained where they collect and preserve the information gathered about the various authors that they have read. The second activity of the Club is a detailed discussion regarding the different genres of literature, namely, Epic, Novel, and Short stories. The members maintain a daily record book where they cut and paste the articles related to literature and grammar gathered from the NIE newspaper. The members also read Shakespeare’s famous work, ‘Merchant of Venice’ in the form of role-playing and dramatization. The members live up to the motto ‘Drop Everything And Read’ and try to widen their horizons.

The students are given hands-on experience on the different weather instruments in the School. The children take the readings from these instruments and come up with the data for the month.

The students furnish the details on the School weather station board. Recordings are taken through Digital Hygrometer and the Wet and Dry Bulb thermometer. Children were shown a documentary on the Andromeda Galaxy, Mars Mission Mangalyaan.

Chart-making activity is done where the students collect information from newspapers, articles, science magazines, and the internet, related to the latest happenings in the field of Astronomy and Climatology. This is very useful to the students as they learn about new satellites, constellations, and several latest explorations done by scientists. A visit to the Nehru Science Centre is organised.
