Noida, November 20, 2012: Students at Apeejay School, Noida once again brought laurels to the school by winning prestigious awards and proving their mettle.
The quiz team of Apeejay School, Noida comprising Saqib Javed (Class XI), Saksham Kapur (Class XII), and Siddhant Misra (Class X), secured the first place in the National Japan Quiz organised by the Japanese Embassy in India on November 7, 2012. They competed with the teams of 150 reputed schools of Delhi and NCR and have won an all expenses paid trip to Japan for 11 days and 10 nights along with the coveted trophy.
Also, both of the football teams – girls as well as boys, excelled in C.B.S.E. East Zone Championship and Under-14 District Football Championship respectively on 10th and 11th of November, 2012.
The Girls’ Team participated in the East Zone Girls Football Tournament organised by Ryan International School, Ghaziabad. A total of 32 teams participated and the School’s team emerged as the Overall Champion by clinching the trophy.
The Boys’ Football Team won the Under-14 Football Championship organised by District Football Association, Gautam Buddh Nagar at Noida Stadium. 18 teams participated in the event.
Anubhuti, from Apeejay School, Noida won the gold medal in 50 meter freestyle and 50 meter breast stroke in CBSE Swimming Meet, East zone. She went on to win a Bronze in the above mentioned events in CBSE Swimming Meet, Nationals on 8th and 9th of November, 2012.
