Apeejay Education Society signs MoU with Korean Cultural Centre

New Delhi, August 20, 2014: Apeejay Education Society has signed a MoU with the Korean Cultural Centre recently with an aim to work together, to encourage and to help Indian students know more about Korea. Mr. Aditya Berlia, Joint Secretary of Apeejay Education Society & Mr. Kim Kum Pyoung, Director of Korean Cultural Centre of India signed the MoU, further promoting the Korean wave in India. The major thrust areas of the collaboration include AES having an option to send its students to KCCI on official visits; set up a Korean Information Corner in its Library; conduct activities related to "Know about Korea" every month; have Taekwondo Academy demonstration once in three months and participate in Dr. Hur Jun quiz on weekly basis. One of important suggestions that came during the fruitful meeting was to translate comic books of Korea (Manga) into English and inspire youngsters to read them. Further steps were also discussed to familiarise Korean culture to the youth of India. Few other suggestions included popularising Korean Pop Music, drama and telesoaps, among other things.
