Kharghar, November 8, 2019: English Week 2019 kicked off at Apeejay School, Kharghar, on 4th of November and continued till 8th of November 2019. The Celebration included special assemblies featuring motivational precepts, teacher and student’s talks on the importance of English language, recitation of poems, book reviews, newspaper article reading, life & works of English writers & poets, delivery of soliloquies and famous dialogues from Classic Literature, enacting skits of English plays, interesting facts about English language, singing and many more thought provoking, inspirational activities by the students of Apeejay School, Kharghar.

The School premises looked very conducive with the displays and charts on English Grammar, on different genres of English Literature and important English authors like Rudyard Kipling, Ruskin Bond, JK Rowling and many more poets like John Keats, William Wordsworth and Percy Bysshe Shelley. The main motto behind the celebration was to enhance student’s explorative thinking skills, sharpen the LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) skills and to learn the correct usage of spoken English.

The successful completion of the celebration of English Week was attributed to the driving force of the supportive management, constant guidance of the dynamic School Principal, inspirational mentoring of the Academic Coordinator & English HOD, Mrs Judith John and the vibrant & energetic teachers of the English Department. The cooperative parents also stood like pillars as the enthusiastic students turned the School into an English haven.

Kharghar, October 4, 2019: Apeejay School, Kharghar, on the 4th of October, wholeheartedly celebrated the centenary year celebration of Dr Stya Paul, the inspiration and guiding force behind the Apeejay Education Society. Floral tributes and offering shradhanjali, while singing two of his favourite bhajans, made it an indelible & enthralling occasion. It was followed by an enlightening speech by the School Principal, MrsTejaswini Katdare, which threw some light on the life and philosophy of Dr Stya Paul Ji. Then, the Head Girl, Ms Muskaan Dangi shared her views on the School's motto: ‘Soaring High is My Nature’.

An award giving ceremony was also held for the winners of the 'Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values' and the Apeejay Talent Search Examination (ATSE) winners for the academic year 2019-20. The students of Class X presented a heartwarming skit on the theme: ‘Humanity’ which was succeeded by the message of the esteemed Chairperson of the Apeejay Education Society, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, for the Founder's Day 2019 which was read by the Academic Coordinator, Mrs Judith John.

At last, the Deputy Head Boy, Master Harmandeep Singh, proposed the Vote of Thanks to acknowledge the efforts made by all the students, teachers and other staff to bring this Founder's Day to life. The programme concluded with the rendition of the School song.

Kharghar, September 7, 2019: Apeejay School, Kharghar celebrated Teacher’s Day with zeal and zest on September 7, 2019. There was an unusual excitement in the School atmosphere which was quite contagious. The students of classes XI & XII took over the duties of the teachers for the day. A special morning assembly was held, entirely conducted by the students. There was a special celebration for teachers graced by the presence of the School Principal, all coordinators and the entire teaching & non-teaching staff. After the light lamping ceremony, the School Principal was presented with a plant as a memento. The program included many performances of dance and songs by the students of class X, XI and XII. Students also expressed their gratitude through self written poems for teachers. The speeches sought to thank the teachers for all their hard work over the years for encouraging and motivating students to strive for the best. The program concluded with the distribution of student made bookmarks to the teachers. Overall, the program was a huge success and the teachers thoroughly savoured each moment of the celebration.
