Kharghar, Dec 7, 2019: The Pre-Primary Sports Meet ‘Supernova 2019-20’ was held on 7th December 2019. Altogether there were 350 participants for the Sports Meet. Apeejay School, Kharghar, is the only school in Navi Mumbai which organises the Pre-Primary Sports Meet in such a grand way. The main purpose to organise such an event is to develop the gross motor skills in the pre-primary students which not only helps them in their physical growth but also makes them more independent and develops a sense of team spirit along with sportsmanship.

The Meet opened with the Principal, Mrs Tejaswini Katdare’s speech, and address to the gathering. This was followed by a march past with a hope for a better world ‘Aashayen’ and a mass drill, a tribute to the Indian Army. The Apeejay ground looked vibrant with all the pre-primary students in colourful costumes and pompoms.

The special attraction was the falcon which was marked as the symbol of more than fifty glorious years of achievements of the Apeejay Education Society. There were various sports events and races. Every race was unique and enjoyable.

The Meet was closed with the prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the events, with medals and certificates. All the participants were given a Certificate of Appreciation.

Overall, it was a grand success which encouraged the students to be more confident and understand the spirit of games & sports.
