National Youth Day 2024 Celebration
Kharghar, January 10, 2024: The School celebrated the National Youth Day with great zeal and enthusiasm by conducting varied activities to infuse the values and teachings of Swami Vivekananda amongst the younger generation. To reckon with the theme – ‘Youth for Global Harmony’ of this year’s celebration the assembly included speeches to highlight the importance of building a progressive youth population.Various activities for the students of Classes I-XI such as bookmark making with famous quotes by Swami Vivekanand, dressing up like Swami Vivekananda, poster-making, slogan writing and many more were conducted.
A FUN FILLED DAY AT IMAGICAA (CLASSES V AND VI)
Kharghar, Novenber 06, 2023: Apeejay School, Kharghar aims at holistic development of its students where academics, co- curricular and outdoor activities go side by side. Picnic is one such activity which is the most awaited event of the year.
This year 111 students of classes V and VI accompanied by their teachers were taken to Imagicaa on 6 th November, 2023. Imagicaa is the most popular amusement park, located in the scenic hills of Khopoli. The event was organised by Compass Holidays. The excited students boarded comfortable buses to embark on an exciting adventure at 8:15 am and reached Imagicaa at 9:30 am. The students were full of energy and sang songs till they reached the destination. They were given refreshments in the bus.
Tickets and entry passes to Imagicaa were pre-purchased, ensuring a seamless entry process for students. Imagicaa boasts an array of thrilling rides and attractions. Students were divided into groups to explore the park and enjoy their favourite rides. They enjoyed thrilling rides like Gold Rush, Scream Machine, Chhota Bheem, Cup and Saucer, Rajasaurus etc. They learnt to face their fears with courage. Indoor rides like Mr. India, Alibaba, Salimgarh, and Motion Box were equally exciting. I for India was very informative and made our students aware of the rich cultural and geographical diversity of our country. This reinforced the concept of unity in diversity.
Students relished the lunch at 1:15 pm. There after they continued with their joy rides. Throughout the picnic students followed the instructions and displayed great sense of responsibility and maturity. Students were given snacks at 5pm. The finale was the Grand Parade, featuring vibrant floats and entertaining characters. The dances and stunts performed by them were mesmerising. We captured numerous memorable moments with group photographs in front of the iconic Imagica castle and other scenic spots.
The students boarded the buses at 6 pm and reached safely to school by 7:15 pm. The picnic was a resounding success, providing students with a day full of fun, adventure and bonding. Everyone had a big smile on their face which indicated that they had a wonderful time. Not only the students but also the teachers felt rejuvenated. Students returned with unforgettable memories, laughter and anticipation of planning their next adventure together. The memories of the trip will last a lifetime.
Picnic to KidZania
Kharghar, Novenber 2nd & 3rd, 2023: Apeejay School, Kharghar organised a trip to KidZania for Classes I to IV on 2 nd and 3 rd Nov 2023. The event buzzed with a lot of chatter and excitement as the intrigued students got themselves engaged in a variety of activities. The students undertook activities such as biscuit making, fruity making, pizza making etc. which added to the arsenal of real life occupations.
Inter-Class Football Tournament
Kharghar, October 28, 2023: Recently, an inter-class football tournament was held for the students of Classes I and II. Selected students of different sections first played with each other and then the finals were held between the students of same class but different section. The winners were Class II-D and Class I-A. The runners-up were Class II-A and Class I D. It was amazing to see the tiny tots playing so well with their teammates and coordinating as a team. It was a great display of skill and sporting spirit by the students.
