Teaching-Learning Strategies

  • Removal of Section Bias:

There is a misconception in the minds of the parents, that the children are allocated sections according to their caliber. In order to convince them, these sections have been renamed in the Pre-Primary Wing by the use of value-based names like: A-Numbers, B-Alphabets, C-Environment and D-Planetarium.

  • Enforcement of Colour Concept:

The colour concept is taught by making the children come to school in their ‘Sunday Best’ on a particular day. The colour of the day is then discussed during assembly time and also in the classrooms.

  •  Honing Talents:

Events like Nursery Day, LKG-Day, UKG-Day, Recitation, Dance, Drawing, Fancy Dress and Painting Competitions are organised to give each child, in the Pre-Primary section, an opportunity to appear on stage.
Celebrating national days and festivals through dramatization, decoration of bulletin boards, morning talks and story-telling is a regular feature of the School.

  • Focused Skills

Listening, speaking, reading and writing are the primary skills that are focused upon.
However, much emphasis is laid on listening through story-telling and morning talks which revolve around rhymes, National Anthem and patriotic songs.

  • Value-Based Education

Value-based education is imparted through varied panorama of activities like story-telling and thought-provoking activities which help to drive home moral messages. It centers on developing a sense of sharing, caring, friendship and cooperation among the children. The emphasis is laid on the inculcation of good manners and maintaining personal hygiene & general cleanliness.

  • Evaluation & Assessment
Recapitulation weeks are held twice a year to informally assess the students wherein the child is assessed on his overall performance throughout the year.

The Evaluation is based on:

  • Scholastic Performance
  • Cognition
  • Language
  • Personal Development
  • Emotional Development
