Greater Noida, October 14, 2023: An awareness seminar on ‘Habilitating Children with Special Needs - A Multidisciplinary Approach’ was organised by the Neuroaid and Research Foundation at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. The opening session was spearheaded by the senior trustee of NRF Ms Rajalakshmi Chandru and a brief introduction of the senior consultants from the Apollo Hospital.

The seminar had various health professionals and experts talked about the various neurodevelopmental disorders, emphasised the role of special education for children with special needs, the importance of Individualised Education Plans for children with special needs and other related areas. The seminar served as a platform to promote awareness and understanding of the roles of developmental pediatrics, occupational therapy, and speech-language therapy in habilitating children with special needs.

Greater Noida, October 13, 2023: A workshop on mental health was conducted at Apeejay International School, Greater Noida in collaboration with HT Pace for students of Classes IX to XII. The workshop was began with the introduction of the speaker, Mr Lucky Puchhrat, Director Mavericks India Solution.

The resource person emphasised that mental health is a critical component of a student's overall well-being and success in school. The students took interest in the workshop as it shed light on mental health as an important aspect of student life and appreciated the ways of maintain and enhancing mental health which were discussed by the speaker.

Greater Noida, August 27, 2023: A workshop on “Career Counselling” and “CUET” was organised for the students of Classes IX-X and XII respectively. The resource person for the workshop was Mr Vipin Tiwari from Vidya Mandir. He took the session on CUET and explained the importance of cracking it. He also discussed the role of mindset and surroundings for cracking any of the competitive examinations and addressed the queries of the participants.

Greater Noida, August 21, 2023: The students of Classes IV to XI recently attended a workshop on Anti-Bullying. The resource person for the workshop were Ms Anusha Tyagi (Arts-Based Therapist) and Mr Rohan Dass (Counselling Psychologist), members of Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences Fortis Hospital Noida.

The speakers enquired about the pre-existing knowledge of the students, discussed the role of bystanders and the various impacts of being bullied. The concept of anti-bully squad was also introduced wherein a hierarchy of students starting from middle school till senior school is made and they help students who might face bullying by reporting it to appropriate authorities/teachers.

Greater Noida, August 03, 2023: The School took an initiative towards raising awareness about the hazards of tobacco use and advocating for a smoke-free future. An anti-tobacco campaign was organised where students and faculty members came together to create a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of society. The School Principal interacted with the students and emphasised the importance of such campaigns held at the school and reminded students to be thoughtful and mindful of their actions.
