Greater Noida, Aug 27, 2022: On 27 August 2022, Apeejay International School, Greater Noida organised a Science Exhibition programme in the school premises to encourage the efforts of the students portrayed during the Summer Vacation Holiday Homework.

The chief guest for the exhibition was Mr. Suraj Prasad, Senior CMO, Kailash Hospital, Greater Noida. The exhibition “Impressions and Expressions” was open to all the parents and students of the school.

Students of Nursery to Class II showcased and presented their thematic projects. The theme of Nursery students was Joy of Learning. They were assigned different activities like Bottle Painting, Socks Puppet Making, and Mathematical Shapes Making using different objects. This enhanced there in-depth knowledge of their surroundings.

Class KG’s theme was Healthy Living. Students prepared various healthy dishes with their grandparents and showcased them in the form of videos and pictures. They also learned about the concept of the 3 R’S. The idea was to exhibit the healthy lifestyle and skills to the students.

Under the theme, Health and Hygiene student of Class I made the following projects -collages of Good habits and Healthy food items, a First aid box, and a healthy dish out of food items cut into different mathematical shapes.

The theme of class II was My Cosmic World. Under this theme, students made models of the solar system, a model of mars, and Pictionary, and even prepared songs and poems based on planets.

Students of classes III-VIII exhibited their projects and models with the theme Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Class III presented SDG goal 14- Life below Water. Class IV presented SDG goal 15 Life on Land. Class V presented SDG goal 3 Good Health and Well-Being. Class VI presented SDG goals 6 and 13 Climate Action and Clean Water and Sanitization. The theme of class VII was SDG goal 5 Gender Equality and class VIII presented SDG goal 7 Renewable and Affordable Energy. Projects, models, and assignments were designed to ignite the student’s thought processes and make them aware of global concerns. All the projects displayed in the exhibition were appreciated by the parents and the students were able to enhance their creative skills and got the opportunity of experiential learning by doing these projects.

Our Honorable Chief Guest along with our Principal, Dr. Sarita Pande surveyed the entire exhibition and also interacted with the students about each of their projects.
