Greater Noida, Dec. 2018: Apeejay International School, Greater Noida, organised carnival UBUNTU 2018 which was swept by the Yuletide spirit with Christmas fervour being witnessed all across the School campus. Christmas Carnival was held for the students of the school and the residents of Greater Noida. It was a fun-filled day for everyone. The Guest of Honour, Assistant District Magistrate of the city, Mr Diwakar Singh, inaugurated the morning celebration by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The students sought the blessings of the Almighty to make the programme a success through an invocation. A plethora of activities were organised to celebrate the festive fervency.

The Chief Guest, Sh. Manoj Tiwari, the Member of the Parliament and renowned Bhojpuri Singer & Actor, was welcomed by the School Principal, Mrs Rina Singh and the Senior Education Advisor of the Apeejay Education Society, Mr N.N. Nayyar. He was presented with a shawl as a token of appreciation. Sh. Manoj Tiwari lit the ceremonial lamp and enjoyed the special performance of the School troupe. He appreciated the students for their efforts and also encouraged them to be the leaders of tomorrow. He motivated them to strive for the best and take the country to greater heights.

Students of classes IV to XI put up many interesting game stalls to entertain the visitors. People tried their luck on these game stalls and the lucky ones won prizes too.

The Baby Show saw an enthusiastic participation. The judges of the event were Dr Rahul Punj and Dr Monica Kapoor. Kashavi won the healthiest baby title and Hazel & Shrim Mishra were the best dressed babies. Rudran Panwar and Lakshika Monga won the most active baby title.

The Comicon and the Fashion Show were judged by Mr India, Gaurav Faujdar and Miss India, Simran Arora. Bhaumik Kashyap won the first prize as Charlie Chaplin. Atharv Pratap Singh, Kanupriya Monga and Siddhi Bansal won the first, second and third prize in the junior category of Ramp Walk. In the Senior Wing, Ranisha Agrawal and Aviral Singh stood first.

The winners were given prizes and certificates. There were many stalls to satisfy the taste buds of the visitors. An array of edible delights, raffle draw and exciting prizes ensured an unforgettable memory for the visitors who had come with near & dear ones.

In the end, the School Principal thanked Sh. Tiwari for sparing his valuable time and motivating the students to strive for excellence.She also thanked all the students and the teachers for their support. The zest & zeal exhibited by an enthusiastic crowd of visitors and participants made the Carnival 2018 a grand success.

Greater Noida, Nov. 27, 2018: Apeejay International School organised the ‘SAGE Workshop’ on Self Awareness and General Enhancement, on 26 & 27 November 2018 for classes VIII, IX and XI. The Workshop was conducted by renowned quiz master Mr. Arindam Bhattacharya from Cradle Solutions. It was a very interactive and captivating session as the children were totally engrossed in it.

The sessions emphasised on –

  • Understanding the relevance and importance of general awareness in our day to day life and a road map of possible carriers for the children.
  • Enhancing our general awareness levels by different techniques and tools such as memory retention skills, travel & learn, experience G.K. & learn, music as a prism for the world of Social Science and capturing information in the form of an excel sheet as a mode for ready reckoner.

Greater Noida, Aug. 17, 2018: The School organised a two-day Annual Inter-School Primary Fest ‘Resonance 2018’, on 16th & 17thAugust. A plethora of activities were organised for various age groups of the Primary classes. Shape Art, Word Chair, Geometric Art, English Poetry Writing, Paper Reading, Subject Quiz, English Poem Recitation, Scrabble, Cartoon painting, Medley of Kishore Kumar’s Songs, Hindi Humorous Poetry Recitation, Sudoku , Work in Unison, Cheer Leaders, etc. were some of the competitions held. The event saw participation of over 650 students from various schools of Greater Noida. The winners were awarded with medals and certificates. Apeejay International School scored the highest points, but being the host school, the trophy was handed over to Ryan International School, the second highest points’ holder. The competitions gave the young minds a chance to interact with each other.
