Greater Noida, Sep 17, 2022: Our school celebrated the Grandparents' Day-VARDAAN, on 17 September 2022. The event was organised to appreciate the love and blessings that our grandparents have always showered on us. Principal, Dr. Sarita Pande, in her address, highlighted the role of grandparents in a child's life. She added, how they act as a constant source of enlightenment and inculcate important values.

Students of Classes Nursery and KG performed a welcome dance for all our guests. The school had organised a few fun games too, such as, Roll the Ball, Choose a City and Paper Balloon Race. Students of Classes I and II then presented a melodious performance.

The next segment included a walk down the memory lane, where a presentation of pictures from the memorable days of the grandparents' life was shown. The lovely grandparents also walked down the ramp and posed.

Further, an open dance session was organised where the guests danced their hearts out and clicked pictures with their grandkids. For the last segment, five groups were made and each of them had to decorate a Matki.

The grandparents were then invited to inaugurate the new swings in the play area and were given a sapling as a token of gratitude.

Greater Noida, Sep 08, 2022: Onam is celebrated every year as a harvest festival in Kerala. Onam, the festival of happiness, peace, prosperity, and flowers was celebrated with great zeal by the students of the Pre-Primary wing of Apeejay International School, Greater Noida on 8 September 2022.

The day was marked by a special assembly followed by a teacher’s talk. Students enjoyed the mythological story of King Mahabali and understood the significance of this festival. They also displayed the Onam Craft- Rangoli Making, Colouring, and Bandhanvaar Making with a lot of enthusiasm.

The students and teachers celebrated this special day in gaiety and warmth. Everything put together gave a cultural ambience to the environment and the atmosphere was of festivity and colour.

Greater Noida, Aug 15, 2022: With high spirits and exuberance, everyone gathered in the school to celebrate the 76th Independence Day, “Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign” on 15 August 2022 under the “Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” initiative taken by the Indian government.

The Guest of Honour Mr. Harish Singh; Cabinet Secretary, along with the principal; Dr Sarita Pande, hoisted the tricolour flag followed by the National Anthem and Flag Song. Worthy of its effort, a systematic March Past was done by our students of Classes IX to XII.

The principal highlighted that in the wake of Gandhiji’s clarion call for the Quit India Movement, Dr Stya Paul- Educationist, Industrialist, Freedom Fighter, Philanthropist, Visionary- the inspiration behind all Apeejay Education- was arrested under Defence of India rules on his birthday. Further, she even gave examples of multiple freedom fighters and boosted the nationalism among the students. The speech ignited a sense of pride and dignity of being a proud Indian.

This was followed by a Patriotic Group Song, Dance Performances and a Natak depicting the story of attaining freedom by the freedom fighters.

The theme “Nation First, Always First” was thoroughly reflected by the performances of the Apeejayites.
