Greater Noida, Sep 15, 2022: A foundational value-education programme for primary school students was launched by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India on 15 September 2022.

This programme was introduced to awaken the confidence and the human values of primary school students. He emphasised that these are the core values which needs to be taken care of through this programme. According to the NEP 2022, a good foundation is required for all primary students.

This led us to develop “Awakening” a value-education programme for primary school students from Classes I-V. Many Principals and teachers attended this programme wherein Smt. Nidhi Chhibber, Chairperson, Central Board of Secondary Education was the Guest of Honor and addressed the audience by stressing on how to provide the right orientation to young children, to adopt values voluntarily and thereby respond to life better .

Ms. Purnima Vohra, Education Officer, Apeejay Education, addressed the audience and emphasised on the infinite strength and potential inherent in every child that can be manifested as wonderful possibilities in every walk of life.

The Awakened Citizen Programme is a three-year graded value education program for students in middle school and high school, run by the Ramakrishna Mission. The purpose of this Programme is to ignite the infinite strength and potential inherent in every child. ACP seeks to empower students in real and tangible ways to develop as enlightened citizens who can stand on their own feet and make responsible choices.
