Jalandhar, Dec 30, 2021: The School organised a spectacular Annual Appreciation Day celebration on December 30. The theme for this year’s celebration was ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ meaning the world is one big family. Through this theme, the school gave a message to all that by educating and caring for everyone, the human heart begins to see all as members of the same family.
Mr Jagdish Raj Raja, Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar was the Chief Guest of the function. Mr Nishant Berlia, Pro-Chancellor of the Apeejay Stya University and Member of the Management Board of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group virtually presided over the function.
The function commenced by taking blessings from The Almighty through Ganesh Vandana, followed by Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam which was an enlightening dance drama on the life of Swami Vivekananda performed by students. The function was followed by Sufi Sojourn – a musical item that mesmerised the audience.
It was followed by the most awaited event of the annual day, the Bhangra dance performance. Students captivated the audience with their passionate performance of Gidda and Bhangra to lively Punjabi folk tunes.
The students were appreciated with trophies, medals and certificates for their achievements in curricular activities in the session 2019-20 and 2020-21 and co-curricular activities in the session 2020-21.
Principal, Mrs Sangeeta Nistandra addressed the audience and presented the annual report for the academic year 2021-22. She said, “The School is committed to Dr Stya Paul’s vision of making the students experience the joy of learning. The school toppers in secondary and senior secondary board examinations have achieved an aggregate score of above 90%. The school has also been awarded twice for academic excellence this year; The Brainfeed School Excellence Award and Innovative Practices for Academic Excellence Award”. She also congratulated all the winners and wished for their bright future.
