Sports Achievements (2018-19)

Our Girls Basketball Team continued the winning streak this year too.

  • The U-14 team was winner at the Zonal Level Basketball Championship and qualified for the District Level.
  • The U-14 team bagged the third position in the Open District Basketball Championship.
  • The U-19 Team won the Bronze medal in the Inter-School Sahodaya Complex, Jalandhar.
  • Our students, Jashandeep Kaur and Amrit Kaur Sangha were selected for the District Level in the U-17 Basketball Team and the team secured the third position.

Our students proved their mettle in Basketball, Football, Badminton, Roller Skating, and Hockey by winning various positions.

Basketball

  • Chandan Bhusla of Class IX was selected for the District Level Basketball Championship and his team secured the second position.

Football

  • At the Zonal Football Tournament, our U-14 and U-19 Boys Team were the winners while U-17 were the runners up.
  • Harjot Singh (Class XI), Harwinder Singh (Class XI), Paramvir Singh (Class X), and Gurnoor Singh (Class IX) were selected for U-17 Boys Football Team in the District Level and the team bagged the third position.

Roller Skating

  • At the Open District Roller Skating Championship, the U-11 Team was the winner.
  • At the School District Roller Skating Championship, the U-14 Team was the winner.
  • Namta Sehgal (Class III) and Dilkhush Yadav (VII) were selected for Open State Level Championship.
  • DilkhushYadav (Class VII) was selected for the School State Level.

Badminton

  • Our U-19 Boys Basketball Team was winner at the Zonal Level Badminton Tournament and they participated at the District Level. Our U-14 and U-17 Boys Badminton Team were runners up at the Zonal Level Badminton Tournament and they participated at the District Level.

Shooting

  • Our very bright student, Harleen Kaur (Class X), has made us very proud by bagging a Silver medal in the District Rifle Shooting Association (10 m Air Pistol), a Bronze medal in the School District, and participation in the District 10m Air Pistol held at Ludhiana. She qualified for the state trials held at Chandigarh and participated in the School State held at Ropar. She went on to qualify in the Pre-Nationals for Nationals and qualified in the 62nd Youth National Shooting.

Hockey

  • ManroopSingh (Class VII) secured the third position in the U-14 Boys Hockey Tournament and owing to his acumen in the game, he was selected for the State Level Championship.

SELECTION FOR STATE LEVEL CHAMPIONSHIP
  • Gurbaljit Kaur Deol of Class X has been selected for the State Level Basketball Championship 2016 in the Under-17 category.

  • Gurnoor Singh of Class VII has been selected for the State Level Football Championship in the Under-14 Category.

  • Sharanjot Singh of Class VIII has been selected for the State Level Football Championship in the Under-14 Category.

  • Pundrik Bhardwaj (Class VIII) and Kashish Singh (Class VII) were selected for the State Level Painting Competition held by Bhakra Beas Managing Board. Around 1500 students competed for the Competition, out of which 50 students were selected. The topic for the Competition was Energy Conservation. Both the students received Rs. 2000/- each for the same.

  • Gagreen Kaur of Class XII (Commerce) won the First Prize at the On-The-Spot Painting Competition in Tech Fest 2016.

  • Preet Kamal Singh of Class XI (Science) won the Second Prize at the Mimicry Competition in Tech Fest 2016.

  • Neha Uppal and Kanwar Bajwa of Class XII (Science) won the First Prize in the Photography Competition in the Nature Carnival 2016 held at HMV College, Jalandhar (out of students from 25 participating schools).

  • Gagreen Kaur of Class XII (Commerce) and Vanshika Kapoor of Class XI (Commerce) won the Second Prize at the Sahodaya Inter-School Eco-Friendly Paper Bag Making Competition (out of students from 49 participating schools).

  • Karan Gupta of Class XII (Science) and Harveen Kaur Sandhu of Class XI (Science) won the Third Prize at the Sahodaya Inter-School Science Exhibition (out of students from 40 participating schools).

Zonal & State Level

Zonal Badminton Tournament

Under-14, Under-17 & Under-19 Boys Team and Under-17 & Under -19 Girls Team won the Zonal Badminton Tournament organised by the Punjab School Education Board.

Inter School Football Tournament

Under-19 Boys’ Football Team bagged the Third Prize at the Inter-School Football Tournament, at the Jalandhar Sahodaya Complex, out of the 28 teams that participated.

Inter School Eco Friendly

Vanshika Kapoor and Gagreen Kaur made the School proud by bagging the second position at the Sahodaya Inter-School Eco-Friendly Paper Bag Making Competition. They bagged this position out of 45 schools that participated in the Competition.

State Level Karate

Ayush of Class XII won the Bronze medal in the State Level Karate Championship.
