IQ Olympiad 2015-16
Jalandhar, 2015-16: Students excelled at the I.Q. Olympiad 2015-16 wherein 60,000 students from more than 1000 schools from all over India had competed. In the All India Final Inter-School round of the IQ Olympiad, Mahika of Class I stood eleventh from all over India.
Gurshere Singh, Mansimran, Tisha, Sehajpreet of Class I; Ajay Ben Ben, Rhythm Hans, Ansh Verma, Arnav Patial, Ravneet Singh and Harshpreet of Class II; and Simarpreet Kaur & Sehajleen Kaur of Class V qualified the All India Final Inter-School Round of the IQ Olympiad.
Students Selection under RISHI Project
Jalandhar, June 21, 2016: Preet Kamal Singh and Tarun Uppal of Class XI (Science) got selected for the ‘RISHI Project - Regional Incubation Science Hubs for Innovators.
Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala invites the innovative ideas from young talented high/secondary school students under this project. The project is aimed at exploring solutions for the community problems through application of Science and Technology. Out of total 120 innovative ideas sent by the students of different schools from Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, only 7 innovative ideas were selected by the judgement panel.
Preet Kamal gave the innovative idea of ‘Smart Bike Function’ and Tarun Uppal gave the innovative idea of ‘Heating Handle Grip for Bike’. Both the students got the opportunity to work with scientists in PGSC w.e.f. 6thJune 2016 to 21st June 2016.
